Post a picture of the mini rod and post it. I think the current 25 configuration would work but would like to see a picture to be more clear. Thanks for the dimensions too. Currently working on the Prod holders.

Tim,
My .22 Prod was converted to .25 cal and got the name mini-rod using the same Prod breech with a .25 Mrod barrel in it, plus it uses the factory Mrod mags... The mini-rod is the gun on the bottom of the photo attached, no scope mounted.

I make the holder in 3 pieces then glue it together. Scope rail mount then the 2 mag cases. I bet if I sent the 25 rifle one to you with out gluing it together, you can get it to work by gluing it together yourself. This way you can adjust height of the mag case on the scope rail mount.

I guess that would be a good question for anyone interested. Is it better to have it assembled and glued together or would it be better if it was disassembled for the user to glue it together or maybe just the choice.

I'd prefer it fully assembled (already aligned and glued) so I know it will be even and the correct adhesive was used, instead of me trying to glue it with an unsteady hand, crooked eye, and substandard glue! But, hey, that's just me! LOL!~

This may sound heartless but...

Just have two versions- the unassembled version for $15, the assembled for $20. Arbitrary prices, just for an example. That way, the customer gets to choose...

For the mini-rod 3 piece mag holder would be best, let me know what type of adhesive to use. I may have to get creative because the scope has to be in the position to allow the mag to fit under the 30mm tube between the turrets & power ring. Prod mag holder assembled would be preferred.

I love it when a person see's a need, exercises a little creative ingenuity., and creates a useful tool to fit the need.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It was actually aceflier that requested and sketched up something for the stock and this is what it turned into. I would have never thought about it.
So, I have been trying to conjure up something special for him ( yes I am letting the cat out of the bag ) for his .457 Texan. It's coming along and I hope it works out.

How many use-able shots do you get on a fill ?

The Mrod mags / gauntlet mags will be on Ebay soon. Trying to set it up as quickly as possible ( this is new to me ). I have ordered a Prod mag so that I can get a really nice fit so they will be coming next.

My wife just told me that it only cost $3.50 to ship anywhere in the states which is great and makes this a cheap (gimmick) thingy that if it breaks or doesn't work as expected is not a waste of money.

I need to know from the forum admins if it's Ok to post the Ebay link when it's up ? If not, I will figure something else out to let you know it being listed.

3-5 shots is good. I bring a 30min tank in a backpack so I can get around 30-40 off it.

I received my mag holders from Tim (shorty) today and got it mounted on my .25 Synrod. They fit perfectly! Here are a few pictures of how well they fit on my Marauder:

Haven’t got mine yet! Brought a package inside today thought they were mine and had to pick some things up around town. Got home asked wife where’s my package? She said it’s your daughters bathing suits.

Those look nice. They should also fit a Gauntlet/QB repeater as is, but could likely be narrowed up a bit as I believe the Gauntlet breech is a little narrower than the Mrod.

Here's what I have been working on for the .457". PEZ dispenser for those huge slugs. It's challenging and made 3 or 4 different designs so far but always keep coming up short with stupid design problems. Just fun to do. funny thing is I had to 3d print "simulated" .457 cal slugs. Boy they look funny and HUGE.
