Chinese Mystery Compressor

So I bit the bullet and bought a Chinese compressor as I was not a motivated as I should be rebuilding the Crusty Coltri (See below) I purchased off of craigslist a couple of years ago. I have a few more things to do, and if I screw it up it will entail buying a new case...but that is entirely another story.
Anyway this is the unit I purchased on Amazon, it was 299 shipped with Prime. I couldn't find any others on Ebay that would ship here to Maui, or the shipping was horrendous if they did.
Here is the unit I received:(See pic below) Here is the link:
I was thinking I may get a Yong Heng, but to my dismay I was a bit miffed thinking I had been taken. After looking around a bit, perhaps I may have gotten an upgraded unit with the integrated stage 1 and 2 head? Some of you guys have been dealing with this much longer than I, so any information would be appreciated. According to the Tuxing site (which this head looks to be a copy...or could be a Tuxing) this is the upgraded unit. I dunno.
Anyway, after a morning surf and washing my truck, I drove in to Kahului to purchase some synthetic compressor oil and fuel up at Costco.
Got home and started assembling my filter and connecting lines and water. She fired right up, so I let it run a bit open, then closed the valves and she charged up to 4300. Shut her down and decided to just go for it and fill my 68 ci small tank to see how it would do. To my surprise, changed it up to 4300 psi in about 8 minutes or so...starting at 3K. Pretty stoked at this point I decided to just go for it and fill my 60 minute SCBA tank from 3000. Must have taken about 30 or 40 minutes, but got to a full charge at 4500 psi.
I did learn three lessons: First, normal stuff, I had to fix a few leaks in the hoses (my hodgepodge), second I had to put ice in the bucket. The instructions say not to exceed 65C and it certainly went there on the first small tank fill. Now I am not sure if this was the unit breaking in, or it is an absolute necessity adding ice, but after adding the ice, the temp never exceeded 55C. Third, the gauge on top of the cylinder no worky. I did remove it and thought I found the problem (plastic occluding the hole) but no go. I will try another gauge... I have on my hand pump to see if it is defective.
I dumped the oil and it was definitely grey, so will keep changing after runs to see if it is carbon or ring wear.
Overall, I am really impressed! So far....:0

Wow Mike that Coltri of yours has seen some salt for sure.
How about pumping the air through the Coltris filters to avoid pumping water in your tanks. At least you can get some use out of the Coltri.
What is still missing from the Coltri, I cant remember. Mine is waiting for me to have time to swap new valve springs.
Edit: How about ME looking at the pictures more carefully

Heh heh! Yep Marko, did exactly that, using the Coltri filters for now...especially since the Chinese compressor did not come with anything resembling a filter.
The Coltri has a head stud broken off on the third stage....I have slowly been drilling it out, then got busy with other things, and wanted to be able to shoot. I will revisit it soon, hopefully wont have to put a case saver (Helicoil) in if I take my time. Other than that, will just have to see once everything is back together, after a new crank, bearings etc.
Did you try the Davy parts for the top end?

Davy has a change in policy and it got a really messy. Ordered the full service kit from them, Paid via paypal. Then like four days later got mail that asked what parts I wanted, I was like Duh, the kit I ordered. You have a picture of it in your shop and description that says full service kit.
They replied that oh no the full kit around 900$ plus shipping.
So false advertising and trying to scam for more money, needless to say I wont be doing any business with them again.
Took nearly a month and some to get my money back, all sorts of BS excuses and lies.
Ordered valve parts and springs from local dive shop.
