.22 Crosman barrels all new manufacuring process now?

Just wondering if anybody knows if all Crosman .22 barrels are made with the new manufacturing process now? If I order a new barrel will it be more accurate than the old ones?  Regards, Tom

I think it may depend on how much old stock and which  rifle...

Me I have another thought and that is there is a good chance that all  the new  pcp .22 barrels MAY be 1:20 twist... why would they only make them so for the Mrod .22?

Also they are stating that the .177 Mrod barrels are  1:16 including the L.W. barrel...

go to the custom shop click on barrels and then click on learn... Oh also the crosman Mrod barrels are also Not choked...(edit for clarity the .177 and .22)

The marauder barrel i ordered earlier this year is
1. tightly choked (I could not push one of Nick's slugs through)
2. fairly accurate
3. only $30

Sadly, I bought this for shooting slugs, hoping it would be unchoked....if anyone wants it, let me know...

Could just get a disco/maxi barrel and mod it for the .22 Mrod...

ordered a .22 mrod last month from crosman.

shoots slugs fine.

groups tighter than my .25 . (my .25 seems to lead on the choke quickly)

been shooting little flowers off their stems at 30 yards.

As Crosman won't stamp the barrels with any notations/dates, only they know if their old stock has been used up or not.

OK/...I'll amend this...likely they don't know for sure either).

$30 is a screamin' deal. I have in my notes, "Benjamin Marauder uses a Green Mountain barrel". Is that the case?

Only the .25 is a Green Mountain Barrel...seems to be the info...

Ahh, okay- that makes sense. I also had written down that the Benjamin Bulldog .357 barrel is made by Green Mountain. So looks like they do the bigger stuff.

1/18 mfg date,  never checked if its choked, didnt have a reason to think it wasnt.

If you look at the "Learn about our barrels" tab at the CCS Marauder build, it tells you that only LW barrels are choked.

That is for the F&T model.  You can choose between crosman and LW at the CS, but on PA you get just the crosman barrel.

I'm just trying to confirm that these new barrels are being used (or not) in the current standard mrod production.  I have yet to see a 177 or 22 cal mrod owner report finding no choke.  Given most clean the barrel, either new or shortly after, I would think that it would have come up by now.

The "new" barrels are NOT choked, the old one are choked, Crosman mfg. Should not be hard to tell.
