Anybody ever happen to weigh one? Curious how much lighter an aluminum one might be.

Thank you! I was hoping I didn't have to tear one down to weigh it.

I was wishing I'd have weighed the receiver from my 760 variant 1. It's die cast metal, but I think it's an alloy by the look of it. Quite a bit of heft too. I thought at least 1/2 a pound? I need to put seals in the 760 variant 4 yet, so I'll weigh that one on my scale. It goes down to fractions of an ounce or gram if I remember right. I see some deli's using this digital scale I have.

I have 2 760 metal receivers with the trigger parts installed.
760 V1 (dated 10/75) = 1 pound 7 ounces, 664 grams
760 V? (dated 12/79)= 1 pound 4 ounces, 580 grams
760 plastic fantastic (dated 0/86) 5 ounces, 142 grams
766/2100 = 1 pound 4 ounces, 580 grams
about the same as the 79 above

You've got to be right on those. My 760 variant 1 (6/70) Weighs a ton, like it was indeed a pound of alloy! And the one dated 12/79 will be a variant 4, maybe variant 5. My 760 Powermaster, self-cocking, metal receiver (black rather than pewter/gunmetal) is a variant 4, 1/77.
760 Variant 1;
760 variant 4;
