Hatsan Barrels. A quick look

Ever wonder about turning a non-QE into a QE or vise versa?
Here's a picture that may help you decide.


The Top barrel is off a .25 QE Long.
The Middle is a Non-QE .22 with the front sight removed.
The Bottom is a Non-QE Mod 25 SuperTac with the front sight still in place.

Hatsan sent me a replacement .25 cal Bullboss barrel.
It came with the front sight on it.
I believe its the same barrel as the .25 long at44.

Sounds like it may be off a pre QE Long since it has the front sight.
Makes no difference as you can see in my previous post.

How is the quality of the Hatsan barrels? I have two Hatsan made Webleys and they both show rifling damage near the muzzle from a poor job of crowning. The crowning tool smashed the rifling because it was not inserted square to the bore. This has made me wary of trying another Hatsan.

I've been lucky on the barrels myself. Yes I've had to re-crown nearly every one but the insides have always been good with a slight polish job.
