Morning .22 Marauder session

I am really digging the Marauder now that I tuned it a little.  I shot from 2,350psi to 1,500psi for a nice 30 shot string that didn't have a horrible POI change.  The fist shot was at 800fps and the last was at 698 with Crosman premier domes.  I am going to make a stand for my chrony and next set of my days off I will chrono the entire 30 shots and hopefully you guys can give me some feedback.  Distance was 22 yards.  I am going to laser 25 with my buddies range finder so I can mark where my bench needs to go on the patio for future use.  Overall I am very happy, need to go to the range and try 50 yards.

Thanks.  I wanna say this is 3 years now that I have had it.  I have adjusted the velocity screw, hammer pre tension and hammer stroke.  Other than that it is all stock.  It was about a 3/4inch to 1'' gun at 25 yards with Crosmans and H&N barracuda (5.53 head size) before I adjusted it.  It shot some good groups now and again but nothing consistent like it does now.  I was frustrated (I tried a ton of pellets) with it and got a .177 syn rod 2 years ago that I was primarily shooting until now.

Not bad groups at all.  Looking forward to a full string.  With a 102 FPS spread though there is room for even better groups at longer distances.  I could be wrong but it looks like you are shooting on the down slope of the bell curve or just went too far with shot count.  I can say that the Marauders are more efficient at the higher fill pressures and the sweet spot on the fill pressure is in the 2900 psi area.  You can get a much higher shot count starting from a 2900 psi fill even with higher velocities around 830 - 850 FPS with the 14.3gr.

Thanks,  it is a vantage 4-12x40 with mildots.  It has been very good.  I shoot Leupolds and Vortex on my predator calling rifles and I will say that this Vantage has been fantastic for the backyard for 100 bucks.

Thank you.  I certainly went long on the shot count, that was 30 shots.  I am hoping to chrono a string tomorrow or Friday.  Thanks for the info.  I am looking forward to advice and some more tuning, I have just been so happy with this from where it was initially I haven't kept going with the tune yet.  I was shooting the premiers at 864 initially and did not see great accuracy, like an inch at 22 yards or so.
