Crosman 114/Mac1 scope mount

   Used my second mount on my best shooting 114, put a bigger, brighter spy glass on it.  A five dollar gun show scope, SDI, Japan.  4x32 with a plain, fine crosshair.  This mount rocks, perfect for the 114.  Looks great and shoots amazing.

IMO, the MAC-1 IA mounts are the best out there. Looks great on your rifle.

Do I see a Terry mod on the mount?  I agree these mounts are just the best.  I was at a Airgun Show today and was able to see a number of these old Crosman CO2s. Was surprised how light they are.  Couldn’t pull the CO2 trigger?

Get yourself a nice CO2 gun and you'll soon have another.  Nice to take a break from pumping sometimes.

I ground off a corner of the mount so I can get my fingertips closer to the breech, it works well.

I ground off a corner of the mount so I can get my fingertips closer to the breech, it works well.

Imagine shooting 100 shots at the power of five or six strokes on a Sheridan.  An afternoon of shooting without the 500 pump strokes.  Filled this 114 yesterday, got 70 grams in it.

This does make sense on both fronts; standard scope mount & a non pumper.

Nice to see you guys gave the Mac1 a try. I've been saying its the best one out there for quite sometime & I'm a tough guy to please.

Need to do this, saw some Crosman CO2 rifles at the show Saturday but nothing in the condition I want.

I checked Mac1’s site a while back & there were 60 IA mounts available. Checked it again the following day & it was down to 20, then 10. I visited the site off & on for the last couple of weeks & there was only 1 IA listed as available. For the heck of it (I did need one) I pulled the trigger on it, refreshed the site & it read non available. I think I got the last one…hope not though.

Reads out of stock.  Be interesting to see when they get more.  My fear was it may be a while if they have not found a new machinist to take it on.  Glad I have my 2.  Watch it go back to 60 next week.

With all the (scoped)Crosmans, maybe you should have a vintage gate fun shoot at your place.

Scoped is the only fun shoot I could attend.  I’d even chip in for CO2.

  I removed the mount that I initially tried on my model 120 and put it on another 114 I have.  I have had an old Crosman stamped steel mount on this gun, with a weaver B4, for the last 5 or 6 years.  They worked so well together for so long, I was a little reluctant to part them.  Anyway, a Weaver J4 and this mount ride ahead of the breech, leaving it wide open.

FWIW; The "last" Mac1 mount made it home today. I found it odd this one does not have the bevel cut out on the left side. It really doesn't matter because it does not come into play with my mounts. I just found it odd.

Is it a Crosman IA or a Benjamin/Sheridan IA mount?

I was under the impression that the Crosman version didn't have the relief cut into the cantilever. Just the Benji/Dan did.

Think that’s true.  Did they always offer the Crosman, I just don’t remember seeing it before?  But maybe I wasn’t looking hard in previous years.
