Hatsan 100X trigger adjust

Hello All,
I have been shooting my 100X everyday since I received her and the trigger seems to have a long pull. The manual that came with it shows two screws one in front of and one behind the trigger.
My 100X has two socket head screws on the front part of the trigger.
The front (muzzle end) screw is bottomed out and tight.??
The manual says to turn the front screw clockwise to shorten the pull.

Now before I get the big bar and turn this screw I thought I would ask you guys if you have the same thing that I have.

 A trip to the hardware store is needed to get a screw about 10 mm long and some washers to shim up the extra length, or one can ever so slightly shorten it to their exact needs.

Let me see if I got this right, I need to replace the existing front screw with a longer screw so I can shorten the pull?

Yes. These triggers used to come with long "grub style" screws (screw with no head, tiny Allen cut out in threaded potion of screw) that you could easily adjust in and out to suit you taste. I suspect lawyers got involved, so now we have standard type Allen screws that are short enough that when bottomed out the trigger just "works," but is long/heavy enough to be "safe" (AKA: idiot-proof, just like Crosman triggers).
Experiment with longer 3mm screws and either cut to length so you can bottom them out, or leave a smidge long and space out with washers (motorcycle needle shims work very well for this). I have 10mm screws in my 95 trigger, adjusted to where I like them, and no washers or cutting (procrastinating). They have not moved in several hundred shots, so I just leave them. Probably safer NOT to do it this way, but...meh, I'll "git a round tuit" eventually.

I had the same problem as you with lack of sufficient adjustment. My solution was to replace the factory screws with longer, headless ones which allow unlimited adjustment. But be advised; it’s possible to screw them in so far that the mechanism no longer works at all. Or becomes unsafe. You have to experiment with it. I’m still fine tuning mine, but it’s already a huge improvement over the factory offering.
You might be able to source these screws at a local RC repair shop; or order them from McMaster Carr like I did. These are also the same screws used in the TO6 trigger from Diana.
