AT44 Action & Stock Fit Help??

Hi guys,
Had a question 6 weeks back regarding the bushings/spacers used to bolt the action to the stock on for my at44 .25. Tejon told me they were different thickness, and got me straight there. My question is regarding how high the front of the barreled action sits above the stock channel? Here are a couple measurements I made:
* Wood stock hole for brass valve sleeve mounting bolt - .565" deep
* Mounting bolt length from bottom of hammer tube (screws into valve sleeve) - .475" long
* Thinnest spacer - .197" thick
Here's my question I hope someone can help me with. When the action is seated firmly into the stock channel, there is .090" of space under the mounting bolt, before contacting the bottom of the hole in the stock. With the thinnest spacer in the stock, this would cause the front of the barreled action to sit about .107" above the stock channel!! I can't understand why this would be desirable? I can look down the front of the rifle and see at the rear of the air tube where the action is held up out of the channel.
Is this needed? I am thinking this is wrong and the spacer needs about .100" taken off so the barreled action sits "flat" in the bottom of the stock, and not jacked up in the front. When I have things all securely bolted together, it is visible that the action rides higher in the front than rear. Am hoping someone can provide me some insight on this.
Thank you all.

Aside from it looking weird? It doesn't bother me.
The Scope mounts to the breech area so should be inline with the barrel no matter the way that whole thing sits in the stock.
It's your gun so modify it to suit your needs and wants.

Overlooked the fact of scope mounting to breech and all being inline like you mentioned Jeff. You're right.
Looked at air tube when "fully" seated in stock and it's definitely free floated, so besides appearance, there's no adverse effect on guns function. I wished I'd looked a bit more at things before posting, thanks again Jeff.
