Finaly she arrived, my new hw30s synthetic, brand new gun that i havent seen so much info about, only read about it at a english forum last week and found out they just been released so ordered one in .177, gonna do some crono shooting to find out what power she got, very nice to handle and feels realy light, weigh 2.690kg, don't know what the wooden version weighs, but this feels lighter, but it could be the scopeweight added to my wooden one that make it feel heavier. I think this must be one of the best pesting gun avaliable, easy to cary, short, not so loud, and hopefuly accurate as my other, have not decide wich scope i will use, i have some laying around so gonna try them to see, but first i will clean her from the factory gunk. Laid my wooden version over the synthetic so you can see the difference, will post some targets as soon i can shoot her.

Just done taking her apart and cleaning the inside from ALOT of gunk, also cleaned the barrel, this gun would never have any ishues with rust... but wow what a nice trigger!

Sure looks nice. The synthetic stock would rid my paranoia of marring up the wood stock. Looking forward to the shooting report.

I mounted a scope on her today, a hawke vantage 4*32 mildot, fits very god, might be a little low magnification but need to shoot some to find out, have a Delta optical titanium in that case, realy excited to try her out

Grabed my gun and the triggerstick and a bunch of ammo to see what she likes, sunny and warm but windy, so i only shot at 15 meters, while i sat in the sun, the targets where in the shadow so i didn't see the center properly, but it was the only way to do it today. Grabed a random tin from the ruggsack and it was the H/N Field target trophy, a pellet that work best in all my weihrauch guns except the Hw35 wich prefer Jsb, first shots missed the target low and to the right, adjusted and got it in to the black, i could not see the result trough the 4*32 scope so had to walk to the target to see the result, changed the target and shot a 5 shot group, pretty tight but still low, adjusted again and another 5 shot group, better but still to low, so adjusted again and got it centered, but the wind picked up more so a couple went out of the group, but i don't think i need to test any other pellets, i probably going to swap scopes with my .20 cal and use the 177 for papertargets and more plinking with the other wich don't require so much magnification. I shot maybe 100 pellets trough her mostly shooting teaspoonspinners at 25 meters and twigs at varius distance, longest hit was a small twig at 50 meters, in the wind, several times! This gun amazes me for every shot i take!

I LOVE my 30's!
I have a vintage one that is new to me (as of last week), and I found that it shoots the RWS basic wadcutters (in the lime green tin) superbly!
If you have some, give them a try. If you see a can, pick them up- they aren't very expensive compared to most.

I think i do have a tin of those, going to try them! I also going to try some leadfree ones to se what they do,thanks for the info!

Thanx i will do a shootout between the two, first impression is that the 177 is a bit sharper and faster than the 20 could be that it's brand new, but so is the 20 also

Changed scope on her today to the bugbuster 3-9 and packed a bunch of pellets to try out, meassured out 25 meters but when i started shooting i hit the ground like 5 meters before target, adjusted the scope but when i was out of adjustment i still was way low, the mounts was fx no limit so i adjusted them and hit the target 2 times before i hit the ground again... The mounts had shaken loose so tightened them and shot 5 shots before the same happened again... So i removed the scope and chimed it and started over, got it pretty good so change pellets to rws R10 8.2gr wich worked great for 5 shots, as tight as the h/n field target trophy, and then al over the place, so checked the stock screwes and they where a bit loose so tightened them and the scopescrewes also, but the accurasy was gone anyway, so either the scope or just the wrong mounts, so put the gun away in anger and relaxed with some coffe... Grabed my 2240 and shot that instead, but my toughts where elswhere so it didn't go as well as it use to, went home and changed the scope to the delta optical titanium, but i think the mounts are a bit to low, not much room for the scope, what do you think, do i need to change for a higher one?

AS long as you can turn your front A/O ring you should be ok. That is a large scope on a small gun. Many HW30 owners swear by the Nikon A/o scope.
Did you clean the barrel? Consider getting a one piece drooper mount for your gun. Those SportsMatch adjustable 2 piece mounts(I believe that SM makes them for FX) are not really springer rated. Still surprised that a HW 30 would have enough umph to get the mounts to move. I was told they are recommended for PCP's only!

How high your mounts are should be dependent on where your cheek falls on the stock. High mounts are bad if you can't your hold, otherwise they are fine if that is where your head wants to be. You may need to try a bunch of different hight mounts. Real bummer is that one company "medium mounts" might be different height that another company's...

Thanx for the reply Yogi, Yes the barrel got cleaned yesterday, but i remembered today that i had the same problem before with the bugbuster, so it probably is finished, going to order a dampa mount from sportsmatch for 1" scopes, only had one for 30mm, better safe than sorry

Frank, i did not order from them, was just an example of a website that sold them that ship worldwide? I live in europe so i bought it localy.

Yes, there are 2 rods with springs on them that goes trough the mount, when the gun recoils, the scope stay in the same place and hopefuly save it from getting broken, even when used on magnum springers, now hw30 is not a magnum springer, but i always wanted to try one since i first saw it
