Lake Sonoma airgun range now open!

It's open!!!!!
Lake Sonoma now has an air gun range located near the Grey Pine trailhead parking lot. Range features a mix of knock down targets out to 70 yards.
Next time you are in the north end of wine country, check it out.

This is a first for the Army Corps of Engineers projects in California. I am really  hoping that it proves to be popular and brings more people out to the lake.

Stewards point / Skaggs spring Road ..... motorcycle road Nirvana & may just take a ride one day just to check out the range and ... go for a ride.

I’ve been there. Beautiful setting. Fun to plink away. .25 Cal max. Have fun.

I finally was able to stop in at the range and give my new p-rod a try. Beautiful setting, it’s worth a drive just to see the area. I am in Santa Rosa so it is not much of a drive for me. The range is nice and clean. The targets are laid out well and it was nice to just spend an hour or so plinking after work.
Thank you to all who made this possible and put in all the hard work.

This is about 20 minutes away from where My sister-in-law lives in Santa Rosa.  Next time I'm down there, I may check it out.  Is the range easy to find once you are in the park?  Also, is the range open year round?

It's pretty darn cool that this is available!!!

Yes it is easy to find, it is off Rockpile Rd, across the bridge, second trailhead on the right. There are signs for the trail once you are at the trailhead. As far as I know it is open year around. It is about 40min from Santa Rosa but worth the drive.
