Wow = gorgeous streak!  The wood is spectacular.  I really like my 51-52 silver streak too.  It's one of the guns that I plan to hang onto.

That one is older than I am I bought my Bluestreak new in 77, it still works great.  That's definitely a beauty Steve !!!

I saw Blue Streaks listed in a 1974 Herter's catalog, and I took the price they showed and plugged it into an online inflation calculator and I got around $200 (actually, around $208) in today's dollars, too.  Interesting, since that's not all that much more than a Benji 392 these days, maybe $40 difference, and you have a walnut stock to boot.

Beautiful old gun that sure has some nice wood.

I wish my blue streak was a looker, but the dings dents and scratches are memories and character.
If I could go back in time and avoid my horrible attempt at a stock refinish as a teenager I'd do so, but again it's all part of it's history with me.

You refinished the stock on your Blue Streak and it didn't turn out?  Strip it and do it again! You'll love it all the more if it's purdier due to your own efforts.

That looks awesome Steve. What fps you getting on that? I usually refinish my Dans, Benjis, and Crosman, but this one Dan...Has me leaving it as is. It needs a refinish BAD. There is minimal sanding to be done. It's down to bare wood and cracked in some places. It looks to have went through some major reconstructive surgery in its life. This Streak, at some point, was used to survive. It looks to have stains of...blood in the stock? Yet, that warmth from the feeling of bare wood is nice. I don't get that on the refinish, but it doesn look sweet. I can see the grains in mine and seeing yours Steve, makes me want to refinish my twin.
   Here's my 51ish Silver. It's gone MIA in pics after the whole photobucket incident?

 It shoots about 640, if I remember correctly.
 My 59 has been shot thousands of times & has never been refinished, either. It still looks pretty good & even the skinny forearm is still in good condition without cracks. I never plan of refinishing it, either.

I'm extremely jealous of some of the streaks that these 2 have posted.  I'd love to have a really nice stock (nice figuring with matching forearm and butt stock) for my Silver Streak some day.  The metal on mine is about 90 - 95%.  The wood is also really nice since I refinished it - it's just that it's boring.  I just don't see this type of opportunity ever come up to purchase a really nice stock for an old streak...

  Once in awhile, a pretty nice stock comes up on the big auction site. I have seen these sell for $100 , though !. Add a little more to that & you can  buy a complete rifle.
