Go figure, I just tuned up my Marauder (.22 Gen 2) to shoot heavier pellets with H&N's 21.14 grain Baracuda's in mind.

Accuracy seemed like it might be acceptable but I haven't been able to really see how they do at 100 yards.  I had about four tins (200 ea) already but since I was waiting to get back up to the range I figured, what the heck lets order a few new selections we haven't tried yet and see how they do.

I ordered Air Arms 18 gr, Skenko Big Boy Jr. 20.3 gr, JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gr, and because they weren't showing the PDG 19 gr domes on Pyramid's site and I was thinking they still might be the front runners I got another tin of the Baracuda's.

Well, the Skenkos were all over the place at 10m and I haven't gotten the Air Arms 18's yet but I know at least for now I'll be changing to the much beloved JSB 18's.

Here's what I just shot comparing the two. Ten shots each target.

Baracuda's are shooting at 830-835 FPS (around 32 fpe).  I still have to chrony the JSB's but I estimate they'll be around 900 FPS (around 32 fpe), based on the FTT 14.6's shooting at 945 FPS and AA 16 gr domes shooting at 925 FPS.

Oh yeah! My Gen-I, .22 Marauder loves those JSBs. I stopped looking years ago for another pellet after I tried out the 18g JSBs. Glad to see you've had the same success.

I just ordered more JSB's myself, they're basically my go to pellet, I even ordered a tin of the GTO's just to try them cause many people are having remarkable results even for being a lightweight pellet at higher velocities.

 If I am testing a gun for accuracy , it is JSB or Air Arms I try first.
Yes I do use cheaper pellets for general plinking.

Nice groups!  Marauders are awesome.  Especially when you find pellets that match their barrels.  I like testing for accuracy at 25 and 50 yards for reassurance.
