Sheridan SuperGrade A auction last week

Saw this in a online auction last week, the auction house has a 20% premium add, so add that to the price obtained.

Actually $900 with Auction House Commissions  I was looking at a couple guns but you only have one picture and a discription.  I could not pull the trigger on the two I was looking at.  I couldn’t consider the Sheridan, thats too many unknowns since it didn’t work. But for someone who knows these rifles and who repairs them that price might be ok?

Looks like it's in about 40-45% cosmetic condition and it needs to be rebuilt.  $700 total....maybe.....$900 is way too much. But then you know what they say something is worth.

Whoooops neglected to read the description. That crack knocks her down to maybe 20% condition. It sold for double what I think it might be worth. People want what they want though.

As you read the issues seemed to pile up.  I prefer to buy guns in excellent shape when I’m collecting easier to know what you have and I think they will hold their value better. Problem with the SuperGrade I really don’t want to have that much invested in a gun that one in great condition would demand.

That one does have have a lot of issues ! TOO BAD !

Buying anything that needs work can turn into a bad decisions. A friend bought a nice looking old original 6 cylinder Chevy truck that " skipped . " I was there when he started tearing it down. He was so sure it was a valve, but that wasn't all the trouble. It did not have a piston in one cylinder & the engine was not rebuildable !
