Okay, it's down to 99.99 at Pyramyd Air - how can I pass it up? So I bought it.

Anybody have any experience with these? I don't plan on any modifications, but I have heard that the trigger is really bad.

The accuracy I've seen on video isn't as bad as I'd expect; so do you have one and how are you getting on?

I've had three and sent them all back and finally got my money back. They all of a sudden lose air out the valve and won't fill. Tried everything and couldn't make them hold air. All three did the same thing. Don't know why but I did like the gun if it only worked as it should. Yes the trigger is not very good but it's a rapped fire so it doesn't have to be. What ever you do don't stick your finger over the valve and pull the trigger I did trying to figure it out and what a mistake. Hurts like *(&^ and lost my finger nail.

Geez, I'm sorry that happened to you and wish you better luck in the future. I'm not really the type to put my finger over or on anything just to see what happens - I have bad enough luck just walking, no need to tempt fate AND not exactly the reply I was looking for....

I do thank you for the info - I hadn't heard of anyone having that issue before, much less on all 3 of the guns you got - maybe, just maybe, I've found someone with worse luck then me bwahahahahahahaha.

I have asked on the forms how to fix and have gotten no answers. I like it a lot just not the leak.

I ordered one for my grand kids to shoot. It should be here by Tuesday. I read the reviews and how guys were having leaking issues. If mine leaks, I'm taking to my buds house, if this guy can't figure out how to fix the problem, it can't be fixed. I'll let you know what we find out.

I know for a fact that every high pressure air gun will evidently leak. It may takes weeks or years but they will require routine o-ring replacements and a lot of tender-loving-care.
It's just part of the game.

I had bought one last year and really liked the gun but, I sent it back and got my money back. It started leaking only a few day after I got it...or maybe it was already leaking and I just didn't notice.

Bought one 2 weeks ago thinking it would be a fun, cheap plinker, despite all the bad reviews. When it arrived it had 0 psi, which I knew wasn't a good sign. Filled to 2000 and let it sit, after about an hour it was down to 1700. Refilled and started shooting. Decent groups at 10 yards once I got used to the trigger, but only got about 30 good shots per fill. After a couple days, it started leaking out of the magazine when shooting. Eventually it got so bad I couldn't even fill it, so I sent it back.

Was pretty disappointed by the amount of plastic on the gun. I figured if they were going to more than double the price of a 1077, it would at least have a metal receiver. I didn't even try to mount a scope on the plastic dovetail.

I will say when it was working, the double action "semiauto" was fun to shoot. Nice being able to dump 12 pellets into the target without having to cock the gun. If only it was a little better quality.

Could it be that the Wildfire is like their break barrels? The cost cutting starts with rough machining. I just wonder if the seals are being cut by rough openings in the tube. Also, they could be assembling them with less than ideal amounts of lube. I wonder if they would still leak after a good deburring and reseal. Just a thought.

Rob... someone like you could do a lot with something like this at the $100 price tag but I don't recommend the gun for someone wanting an 'out of box' shooter. And I definitely wouldn't recommend it for trying to get a young person into shooting. That trigger would be a serious killjoy.

Bill, a guy on the old yellow forum made an aftermarket trigger. but it was still horrible.. I would not even be sure where to start, matter of fact, I think the 1077 is the better gun having had one..the fact a lot of them leak is pretty discouraging also

As much as I like my 1077W but given how most folks know its faults....I just dont see how anybody could expect much from the WF given its basically the same gun...gun luck..

I bought 2 of the 1077 sometime back thinking Betty Lou and I would enjoy shooting them together. Man, did we fly through some pellets and C02. We have a chain of overstock and closeout type store in the area "Freds" and I was in one of them looking around. I spotted 2 new old stock "hangie" adaptors for 88gr C02 for the 1077 and picked them up at a good deal. They claimed to deliver 400+ shots per cartridge. Yeah.. that didn't happen... maybe 200 at best. Leaky to say the least. And those triggers..... well, you already know. Anyhow, the whole shebang went away quickly.
Matter of fact... Rob, didn't you end up with the "hangie" adaptors?

no that wasn't me .. agreed, the 90 gram co2s are insanely expensive compared to 12 gram..theres nothing economical about them

Yeah, now I remember. It was Buldawg from Oxford Al. that got the "hangies".
The two 1077 went to a co-worker and his grandson. The boy was a 12 year old and as far as I know they are still shooting the guns together. I see the co-worker most everyday and he hasn't mentioned them. If I'm not mistaken a sold them both for $100.
