Can the mechanical noise of a Daystate Regal XL be reduced?

Hi guys,
I played with my Regal XL .22 a bit and I really like it so far.
My question is, if the mechanical noise can be reduced significantly.
At the moment I am shooting indoors and the noise can be compared to a loud clap in the hands.
I think outdoors it may not bother me at all, but with all the reflections going indoors I wish it could be a little more quite.

I have an Air Ranger with similar mechanical noises. They don't bother me too much, but I have looked and there really are no aftermarket parts we average shooters can buy to correct this situation with simple tools.
That said, there are some tuners out there that can do great things on these, but it will cost a bit. You could contact a member known as Motorhead and see what he can do for you. His name is Scott, and he does a great job tuning guns and does have improvements he has made for Daystates, including quieting down the action.
I may have him do something for my Air Ranger someday.

Maybe do a search for "Depinger" mod?

I will do some more research regarding the "Depinger mod", thanks.
As soon as I know a little bit more, I may also contact Scott.

Is this what you are hearing?
Then, a de-pinger is what you need.

I don't recall my Regal having any mechanical noise, it had a definite noise coming out of the moderator though. Not the quietest guns out there. I added a different LDC and that really did the trick.

I always read about Regals being “ mouse fart quiet” , now I have one I think that maybe mice are really loud farters. The first thing I did was put a Donnie fl Sumo I had in the shop ,on my .177, and it is now extremely quiet. Tried a Rocker1 on it and it was a winner also.

It is hard to capture, but there is definitely a metallic ring so the sound.
I already got a Sumo on my air rifle, so I don't think I can improve in that area too much.
I attached a sound file in the attached .zip. You need to turn up the sound quite a bit to here it.

Yes, there are mods that can be done to damp the TINK of hammer striking poppet stem as well if "Slingshot" hammer equipped the noise of hammers outer shell bottoming out against valve body.
