Benjamin Summit NP2 questions

I have a Benjamin NP2 and have put about 2000 pellets through it. I have found the JSB 15.89, Crosman Premier hollow points, and predator polymag to all shoot well out to 50 yards....... some days when the stars align and the gun decides to shoot well for me lol. I also have chrony results on these through my rifle if anyone would like them for reference.
Now, for the questions.
1- What is the best way to support this rifle off a bench rest to shoot accurately? Some days a Caldwell tachdriver bag filled with plastic beads, sideways, right against the trigger guard seem to produce consistent tight groups, the next trip this same setup may produce a shotgun pattern.
2- What is the best method for resting this rifle on a primos trigger stick for accuracy? I plan to use this gun for squirrel hunting and like to use a solid rest for shots 40+ yards.
3- What is the best way to stabilize this rifle on the side of a tree? I’ve always used my off hand pressed against a tree with a rifle rested midway down the stock on the crease of my elbow for accurate shots, but this rifle doesn’t seem to like that hold much.
4- Which standing off-hand hold do you all find to be the most stable and consistent way of shooting these rifles? I’ve found inserting my thumb and middle finger into the bolt holes near the end of the stock with the gun laying softly on my palm to be the best, sometimes. Others it really doesn’t matter how I hold, it just won’t group consistently for me.
Any other insight into shooting these guns well, particularly using field rests in the woods taking elevated shots for squirrel would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Jason...I do not have the Benjamin Summit NP2 but ... I DO have the Crosman Summit Ranger NP2 in 22 Cal. If you want to compare it to your gun then... PM me and we will talk Hunting with the NP2 platform. Best Wishes - Tom
RE : Questions 1 & 2... I cannot help with. I shoot & practice off hand or with my foreshock hand resting on a tree trunk or tree branch.

Tom provided me with some very good information, and links to some great posts that he has made on a similar rifle to mine. Surely more of you have experience with this or similar rifles to chime in.
Thanks!
