First thing I would do is remove the valve from the gun and replace the o-rings.The o-ring on the front outer side of the valve is probably leaking. And while you have it out you might as well replace them all.Another thing is try to get in the habit of cocking the airgun and leaving the bolt back and open while you pump. Then add the pellet and close the bolt. This will be safer and maybe you won't have a pellet fire unexpectedly.Ray

I would shy away from hardware store o-rings and try to get "factory" ones. That way you will know they are for your specific airgun. As for the pump arm drooping,,,mmmmThat may be excessive linkage wear, you did say over 6000 shots didn't you?If you just pumped an average of 6 times for each shot, thats 6 X 6000 = 36000 pumps!!!Dude!! That's alot of pumping in anybodies book. For any kind of pumper airgun I strongly suggest you get a new pump cup to go with those o-rings.Check you linkage for slop between each pivot point. There should be no noticeable play. You want it to pivot freely, but it shouldn't be wallowed out and loose feeling.Try to keep a drop or two of non-detergent straight 30w motor oil on the pump linkage pivots. That will help them last longer and wear less.I'm thinking a new set of o-rings and a new pump cup will get you back to plinking in no time.Try that and see what happens. And please keep us posted on the outcome.ThanksRay

Yo may want to just call Crosman and price new link assembly. I am usually pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive replacement parts are directly from them.
Maybe I'm missing something here but...The first issue the OP addressed in the original post was concerning the gun inadvertently firing as it was being pumped. Hard to imagine that being an o-ring issue. Even the issue with the pump handle dropping would most likely be due to a worn cup seal, worn linkage or piston rod adjustment... but valve O-rings causing the gun to fire? I'm just not feeling that.
Do a search and have a look at the "alcohol flush" before going crazy on the gun. Might be something in the valve such as old gunkie lube.
You can also use google to search the GTA. Just include "GTA" in the search line.
I would suggest going to Mac 1 airguns to find o-rings and any other part you need. He has the best parts for Benjamin MSP guns.
You were right Ray... the O-ring on the front of the valve was toast.. the O-rings from Crossman are $1.15a I'm sure they're shipping is expensive but it's going to be a heck of a lot cheaper than I thought ... the whole entire valve is only 12 bucks and the pump linkage is 12 bucks.... I guess it's going to be awhile before I get it shooting again because I don't have any money . I'm sure they're shipping is expensive so I'm going to try to put together a parts list and get a few extras when I come up with some cash . I'm really starting to miss shooting my gun . It's definitely a good idea to have at least two of these guns or at least some parts on handthanks for your help guys..
