I'm on the same boat as you guys. I don't do that preorder &^^&. You want me to shell out monies for a product that hasn't been completed yet? Nope. Comcast does that now, has been for some time, with movies. Which I don't understand. It's not like I'm not gonna be able to rent when it's released. Makes absolutely no sense. It's one thing if they offered a mark down for the product if you preorder. Stupid.

When I ordered the Gauntlet to be "early in line" I did get one shipped in the 1st group...

They sent the wrong caliber....

So my order did not get filled till I returned the accident...

Things happen I get it... but the push out then the additional 6 weeks?

It appears that vendors want to solidify sales before the other guy. It makes sense.. if you're a vendor. If you, as a vendor, make me happy with customer service and a fair price. Provide parts when I need them and basically keep your marketing department in line by not blowing smoke up my *** then you'll have my business. It's been my experience that PA does a better job at many things than other vendors do. TPatner is right here in the trenches with us. Go to the PA vendor gate and ask him a question... 9 out of 10 times you'll get your answer within a day. Most others are hiding. If I were in business I'd want to be right here with my customer. I'd want to know what you want and what I could do to be the best source out there. The GTA and it's members have a huge impact on this market in the US.

From what I have been told, they are already in transit from overseas. Customs can be a bit of a &^^& shoot sometimes, but I believe the date on PA is solid from everything I have heard.

I dunno, it doesn't look any more of a better shooter than a Benjamin. Same specs, more money just to have something different. Not for me.

I've gather up some of the SPA guns of late. This pumper shares the mag with the Varmint, Plinkster, Cp1 and CP2. That right there makes it interesting to me. If it handles any thing like the Plinkster and Varmint.. I'm all over it.

I disagree. It has a proper scope mounting rail and magazine. The two main items that a lot of people want.

Well, to each their own. I see no need for a magazine on a pump rifle. Kinda like a magazine on a flint lock as far as I am concerned. Beauty and function is a personal thing that people judge on their own biases. Some like a truck and some like a sports car. I know I can get parts for my Benjamin pump rifles, I can get a scope for it,( if I think I need one on a realative short range rifle), by ordering a scope mount. There are vendors that cater to the 39x platform if you want a lot of performance. So it is a matter of what you want, to me the "extra" stuff just isn't a draw.

My only reason for a mag on a pumper would be to keep from fiddling with pellet loading in the woods. That fact that it shares mags with guns I already have is a plus. Any response I share on the forum is not a suggestion as to what someone else should do. I can only scribe personal preferences. Different strokes keep the World spinning....

Exactly to each their own. Why do you have multiple Crosman 1322 & 2240s. They are essentially the same gun so what's the point? Why do you have 2 QB78s in the same caliber? They literally are the same gun so what's the point? See where I'm going with this, kinda like calling the kettle black. Just looking at that design it's gonna make mods much easier, no barrel welded to tube. Barrel looks to remove right out of breech via grub screws. You know that plastic muzzle is coming off one way or another. The breech having grooves for scope. Now, the added cost of an intermount is axed. The added height of intermount is axed. No more worry of barrel seperation. Magazine will definately play to the pester/hunters. It takes time to pumps and that time saved from going to a tin or reaching in your pocket, eliminated. Those that like scopes have a much smaller area to work in loading the pellet vs iron sights. So there is another bonus.

Those that already have the Varmint and Plinkster will tell you what an attractive and comfortable gun it is. For me it will just round out my SPA collection. Oh, did I mention "lego"?

I'm not really a pumper kind of guy, and even I have to admit this thing looks pretty cool. I'm somewhat leery of what seems to be it's diminuative size, but... I may get one just to try it out. The wood looks nice, and the whole package looks highly moddable. I'm thinking .22 cal. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

The "PRE"-order part of order is something that I wish would just go away. I am old enough to remember that is what we use to call "Order now and we will back order it for you. When it comes in we will ship it to you." After all, isn't a PRE order...just an order?

Exactly Rob. I'm sorry I posted an opinion that is contrary to what every one wants to hear. I own multuiples of guns I like is all. Not muliples of guns that don't interest me. If you like it then by all means divest your earning into buying it, like I said to each their own, I just have no need for a multishot magazine fed pump rifle. Much like I prefer my multiple Discos of the same caliber over the same brand, alpha numeric product named magazine fed PCP's out there. There is nothing wrong with them, I just prefer stuff I can work on easy, and get parts for easy. I'm not defensive about what I like, nor did I try and change any ones preferences. You didn't see any argument in my post, I conceded that not everyone likes the same thing. Owning multiples of anything just means you like the platform, there is no kettle to call black as you state, by "extra stuff" I was alluding to the magazine and scope mount, not owning more than one of a same platform, so I am sorry you have a different opinion than me and I will change my mind to suit you. Please every one buy one of these pump rifles.

Yessss, glad I converted someone. I agree with you it makes a world of a difference to be able to get stuff for modding easily (13xx 24xx prod mrod QBs etc). The added groove to the breech already solves a major issue that the top pumpers, Benji and Dans, don't have. The price alone for this rifle is 10 dollars more than a Benji 392. You aren't getting one of the quality mounts for 10 bucks.
People that like good old pumpers though don't really need suppliers for modded parts. We had to deal with the fact they are what they are. But, just looking at the design it looks to advertise to the Lego gun fans while still reaching to us old school Benji & Dan fans. I get what's the point of a mag for a pump rifle, but like I said with scope in the way and the guys with big fingers have some problems. Also, while out hunting and Bill sees that advantage. In no way is it making it a semi auto or advertising as such. The same can be said for the Prod and Mrod and such. What's the point of a mag, you can't keep pulling the trigger and it shoots pellets. It just saves some time in fiddling with pellets between each shot.
Like I said, I'm not planning to do the preorder. That's just rubbish. Ill wait until someone buys doesn't like and will trade or sell me their old one. I get your opinion and I'm not calling you wrong. Just the things that are offered right outta the box is a big hit with us pumper fans.

I did get a chuckle out of "magazine on a flintlock," though.

They look pretty nice and if I didn't already have a 397, I might give one a pretty hard look.

They must be taking a page from Apple with the ridiculous iPhone preorders. At least with them, I guess you avoid lines and out-of-stocks when they do become available, which is also kind of ridiculous to me (and makes me wonder if Apple doesn't manipulate inventory (I think they do) to create more hype).
