That one sure is a beauty! I absolutely love that grain pattern on the rear of the stock! There certainly is something special about these ol Dans. I too felt the urge to find a nice Silver after acquiring the 82 Blue for my son. I have one set to arrive Thursday. A friend stopped by this weekend he has a flat topped 1322 fairly decked out. Shoots 14.66s@ 650ish but that's 15+ pumps...
He was 100% in love with the Blue Streak.. he kept raving about how smooth it pumped. And 8 pumps was producing 640 with a 14.3 Benji cylindrical "dang" near the same energy for less energy

I can't wait to get my Silver. Have you ever tried the Baker Airguns scope mount? I know that I have read that traditional mounts can cause barrel separation at times. I'm okay with a Williams peep but would love a safe scope mount.

Sheridans are smooth, slick rifles. The QUALITY is there.
I have owned a good many scoped Sheridans, with different mounts . Baker's is a good one. A lot of people fault the Sheridan Intermounts with causing barrel separation, but I don't believe that is the entire cause. I have several with that mount right now, with no problems. The smaller intermount only has 2 screws on each side. That mount, with a big heavy scope, puts stress on the joint. Bang it in the truck or against a tree, & it may crack.

I was busy today, so I didn't have a chance to set up the chrony & test it. I did put a couple of pellets down the barrel & it seemed fine. This is a VERY, VERY fine rifle !! I put it in the stable with the rest of the Sheridans , for the night.

Steve, with as many Sheridan’s you have owned and sold, you must have settled on some criteria that is your threshold to hold onto one over the other.

My very first Sheridan, which I still have, was a Silver. I guess that is why I am more partial to the Silver Streaks. Nothing at all wrong with a nice Blue Streak, though. I often have people ask me , " What is the difference between a Blue Streak and a Silver Streak ?" I tell them, " I am not trying to be smart, but basically, one is Blue an the other is Silver ."
My favorites are early Silver Streaks . made in the 50's - 70's. It is just so hard to beat their quality. Most of my Sheridans are from those years. It is rare that I have one newer than a 1980. While they were still good rifles,, I just prefer the older ones. I like hold down safeties better than rocker safeties , especially if the rifle is going to be for a youngster. The hold down is always " on safe." You must hold it down to fire, so I view it as a safer rifle for beginners. A rocker safety is manually turned off & on. A beginner may not remember to set it on safe, after pumping & loading. Sheridans are quite powerful & have killed a few people over the years, just like other pellet rifles.
Get out & shoot your Sheridans !

It has been raining here this morning, so I am on the computer more than I usually am. it cleared up for a short while & I went out to test the new rifle .
FANTASTIC !!
It is shooting at factory estimated speeds of 675 fps. I could not be more pleased with it. I may sleep with her, tonight !
