Couldn't decide which gun I wanted gamo or benji so got the benji went out to shoot it and wow wrong pellet to use cphp 7.9 sounded louder the a 22 powder burner so I switched to a heavier pellet crosman ultra magnum 10.5 grain took about 100 shots for it to stop smoking so bad finally settled down to 875/890 fps did some 7.9 got 1025 fps gun has power but no where near as box stated 1140 fps with lead pellets suppose to be 23 ft lb gun still happy with it 18+ ft lbs still good for me like the open sites no glow sites overall neat gun just my finger hurts shooting it so much on trigger not bad but could be lighter.

I bought a .177 Benjiman Steel Eagle a few months ago and it cracked the same way. I sure was glad that the neighbors were not home! I even cleaned the barrel before shooting it.
I do like it and it does seem to shoot pretty hard.I don,t have a chrono so I,m just going by how jumpy it is.The one thing that I do like over my regular NP gun is that it is easier to cock.

After burning off the lube it shoots very well haven’t scoped it yet . It’s a flat shooter at longer distances .

I'd stick to those 10+ grain pellets to slow that thing down. 1025 fps with a .177 will be very unstable and more than likely inaccurate. I bet some Jsbs or baracudas would shoot very well in that gun. I love the look of that gun! I'd also love to see how well it shoot a for you.

... just my finger hurts shooting it so much ...
I never thought my CFX had a heavy trigger, but after owning it for several years I did some pellet testing that required about 250 shots in one morning. Ouch...my finger trigger finger was getting a little tender by the end of the work!
