I keep looking at these on YouTube and Pyramid. Is there ANY reason not to drop $30 on one of these? They look like great pistols to plink in the Garage at 10 yds. FYI I have no concerns about cocking effort.

My sister wanted to get me a Christmas gift a few years ago and I didn't want anything expensive so I asked for one. I thought it wouldn't be worth anything and a joke. It's probably the most enjoyable pellet pistol I've ever shot. If you don't own one already you really should!

Not sure about a "B17", but I own "2" Beeman P17's! Only reason I can think of "Not" to have one might be some possible future o-ring maintenance\replacements needs. However, besides their excellent accuracy, great trigger performance and big Fun Factor, even any troubleshooting and accurizing tinkering has been enjoyable, easy and effective for me!

The fact that all this can be had for just $30 Is Amazing!!!

I have 3 of them... 2 were sent out to Eric at Stalwart Arms for his magic and they both wear the same Holographic Red Dots as yours. One remains stock.

I have 2 also..1 stock and 1 I ground the sights off of(aids in cocking)slapped on a red dot and did the pellet pen mod....git it , be the best $ 30 U COULD SPEND...

" Have two also...One w/nc star 2x scope 1 w/red dot....Not the best pistol shot but both will hide all shots under a dime (rested) @ 10 meters. Total of 4 o rings...Enough videos out there to fix any problem and tune up the trigger if you're willing to do it.. I ground off the corners of the rear sight to make cocking easier..... Best bang for the buck out there...........

Yeah... I've given a few away as gifts. Nothing better than a cheap gun that shoots cheap pellets accurately. And it certainly don't feel cheap. Slap a red dot on it and have at it.

Gonna look around for a hunk of bicycle inner tube to cut and slip over the grips. I've heard this really works good.

I haven't tried the inner tube but did read that it works well. I have used the Hogue Handall grip designed "for Glock pistols and other semiauto's" it works really well. It is contoured/textured and is only slightly large but a little heat shrinks it down to a good snug fit.

I only bought cheap items there, like 4x32 scopes, and from France but I usually had no issues. Only once would a scope never reach my home but I was eventually paid back.

I see very few group sizes posted on these guns, usually just a description of the accuracy.

P17 #1 is the most accurate of the 3 I have and has the best velocity. Out of 17 different type and weights of pellets, RWS Basic shoots the best in #1. I haven't checked all the velocities of all pellets just a few for an example.

RWS Basic 7 gr. (actual weight is 7.3 to 7.5 gr.) - 424.3 fps
RWS R10 7 gr. - 432.1 fps
Crosman 7.9 gr. H.P. - 406.0 fps
H&N Match Green 5.2 gr. - 483.3 fps

P17 #2 shoots about 1/10" larger groups, at 10 meters, than #1 and gets about 10 fps less velocity. The pellets that shoot the best in #2 is Air Venturi 8.2 gr. dome and then RWS R10 7 gr.

P17 #3 is bad. I had a very hard time just opening the action to cock or pump it and once I did, it wouldn't close. No amount of pressure would close it. After working with it, I finally got it to close, but it's still very hard. The trigger pull length is twice the amount of #1 or #2. The velocity is around 25 fps less and the group sizes are around the 1/2" c to c range (5 shots) regardless of pellet at 10 meters.

On the 10 shot groups, I would first shoot 5 shots, measure the group size, then shoot 5 more, for a 10 shot groups. Unfortunately, I no longer have access for further distances, 20 yards is now my limit. I used a 2 - 7x scope just to test for accuracy and sandbags at 10 meters and 20 yards. Pellets were sorted and grouped by visual inspection, weight, head diameter and rolling radius.
