Daisy Model 74

I was blasting away with my 415 pistol and thought wonder if they Have a semi auto C02 BB rifle...lo and be hold the Daisy model 74...opinions please....thanks

I have two D 74's. In my experience, they are very low power and very efficient. I get about 200+ good shots per Co2 cart BUT at only about 250 fps. I can shoot them about as fast as I can pull the trigger with no noticeable loss in power. Co2 shooters know that is not typical. Maybe it's because so little gas is expelled, adiabatic cooling is not a big deal. Karen and I use them to bug hunt the carpenter bees around our house. We just instinct shoot/aim as we rapid fire....."walking" the bb's to the bee. Fun little plinker if a bit toy like. Not sure they weigh more than 1 1/2 pounds. Cobalt may chime in here. He has had some success modding the 74 to get better fps and accuracy. Pretty cheap fun.

It's a neat gun, but rapid fire isn't really my style of shooting.  PM me if  you might be interested in some sort of trade.

Fun little guns for sure, and with a little work they can be personalized to be even better. With mine, along with boosting the power I added weight to the forearms and stock to make it feel more substantial- they are light guns as delivered! I shoot mine w/a red dot but there's nothing wrong w/the open sights it comes with.

Rapid fire isn't my normal style either but the 74 lends itself to it. That's really all I ever shoot it for.  I always feel a real sense of accomplishment when a carpenter bee gets splatted.

You wont be sorry. I have a bunch of BB guns but don't shoot them much. The 74 is an exception. (My D 1200 is another)

The 74 is an ideal companion to the "Rocket Shot" can launcher. We use ours with the three can kit and it works perfectly. Our grandson  said,"this is just pure fun"!And he's right.

It is amazing how many shots you can get out of a CO2 cartridge with these.
Not a powerhouse but lots of fun for plinking.

You may already know this but remember to leave some room when you fill the reservoir w/BBs, too many and they won't want to fill the spring loaded magazine very well.
