Been practicing and made a change in my muzzlebreak to a lighter one from RoyK.  It really helps make the QB79/A79 much less front heavy.  Shot a 177 with 2x's  which is my best score and first bulls, but I am amazed what people are posting in terms of scores, a 198!  How do you stay so still?

I think the best I shot before was something like a 197 5x using my CZ631.  Normally I'm a high 180's to low 190's shooter.  I hurt my back in December and went on an extreme workout routine losing 27# in three months through two a day workouts and change in diet.  I've been doing lots of walking, pushups and 15# curls.  I've also added a lot of Pilates ball exercises to strenghten my core.  I've even started running about 10 days ago.  Did 4 training runs before this weekend's Father's Day 5K run.  I really surprised myself and ran a 25:16 race.

I was borderline hypertensive when I started and now am solidly at the low end of the range.  Ditto that for my cholesterol.  Anyway, bottom line is through this workout, especially core, I feel like a rock.  Getting my heartrate down through exercise has really helped my shooting.  I almost feel like a Cold War era German shooting machine.

I'm not using my shooting jacket as it is a size 42 and I'm now a size 39 but I don't feel that I need it either.  I dare say that if I did some warm up shots I may have shot a 200!  I shot top left first then down and back up to the right side of the card.  My first target I missed two as I got used to the trigger on the rifle which I hadn't shot in a couple monts.  Just picked it up and started shooting.  Darn those first two shots!  Also of note is I used to start out strong but later targets were worse as I tired. Now you can see my last two targets were stronger than the earlier one. The strength training is really important.

Anyway, I wanted to share why I think I'm shooting much better now than say a year ago.

Haven't used the .22 BSA Scorpion T-10 much this year....so took her out and put her through the paces.  She's a bit heavier than most of my other air rifles....so had to take a longer break between shots after the 8th shot.

My Sheridan Blue Streaks have been a bit ignored lately so got them
off the wall and shot this match with my '71 with Willliams peep rear sight.

'71 Sheridan Blue Streak .20, w/Williams peep rear.
3 pumps = 454fps.
10 yd Indoor, standing, off-hand
JSB .20 Exact pellets.
Score 183/200 3x  Scored close ones with Eagle Eye .177 ring.
