+1...Hawke scopes have red/green and red/blue IR but not all 3 colors on one scope and that's definitely NOT a Sidewinder...lol

The three turrets look like windage, elevation and illumination. The AO is front only.

The fact that it is a front objective AO but the box is labeled "Sidewinder" pretty much gives it away. You'd think the counterfeiters would do better research.

Glad you reported it, but not sure how much good it will do. The Chinese make a living from knockoffs and apparently have no moral qualms about it.

I'm sure it's a knock off, but still may be a good scope for the money. Most of our scopes are made by the Chinese these days, and some knock off's as well, that's why I check the reviews when browsing. Sometimes they are sold as a no name brand but still worth buying.

Both my hawke scopes say made in China on the bottom. These could be made in the same factory just using looser toleranced parts.

I sort of have a thing for the scopes on AliExpress. Of the four I have bought, 3 range remarkably well with the AO adjustment. One of the scopes is marked BSA (mildot retcile) and my son uses for FT Hunter. It ranges very well, has a clear picture so for 50.00 shipped and held zero fine so I'm not complaining.

The one I was not as impressed with is a Zeiss knockoff. It ranges, or should say, it doesn't range at all from 35-50 yards. When shooting FT that is critical. Otherwise the scope worked fine.

There are two I am eyeing that get great reviews but are over the 100.00 mark, which I think does relate to quality. Even with AliExpress.

I have coming a 4-16x50 front AO with a mil-dot etched glass reticle made by Ohhunt under the sniper label, purchased for $94. Can't wait to get it in my hands and try it out on my Marauder. Will be awhile before my new rifle comes in stock so will wring it out on the Marauder and make sure it's ok, or if I would need to return it for an exchange or refund.

I ordered one and 31 days later it come in. Optics and reticle are fair and focus/parallax works down to 10 yds but don't expect it to be useful for range finding.
The big negative was packaging. The offset mount (which is decent) was placed loosely under the scope and it scratched the bottom of the scope big time. I will keep it but put it on a powder burner as it is not good enough for my favorite toys.

Later I will post about the ZOS 10-40x60 which I am VERY happy with for an inexpensive target scope.

Sorry to see the vendor that shipped your scope didn't pack it better, mine came wrapped in bubble wrap inside the box and out, and rings were in a separate box next to the scope. The review is on the review gate under new scope from Aliexpress, very happy with it so far.

You might contact the vendor through aliexpress, they might get you some money back because of the poor packaging if they see pictures of the damage. Others have done similar on compressors with some damage.

My more expensive 3-9 ohhunt came in a beautiful hard cardboard box and was packed superbly with rings packed in separate box. Came with Alan wrench and cleaning cloth. I was really impressed with the whole thing.
That 4-16x50 sounds great!
