Here’s the Legos:
Pretty much a bolt-up job except the barrel was machined from an LW blank, the valve was modified for volume and flow, the pump headspace was reduced, and the pump was reinforced for higher pressure…
Checked it for air leaks before it was finished (learned that the hard way) and all was good. I’m going to shoot it a lot tomorrow

Love your blimped (blinged+pimped) out guns.
I'd have to wear sunglasses when shooting them.
Since most of your guns are pistols and you use LW barrel blanks at 24",
have you tried using the cuts on another gun?
The resulting barrel would not be choked but neither are the Crosman barrels
and some say they are accurate although that's not been my experience.

Thanks everyone!
TD, I have mostly just given them away over the years, but have a few in use. The last one (an 11-1/2” un-choked LW cut) was used for a FAS 6004... mainly because I didn’t want to lose any fpe from the choke swage. I also make sure to keep the breech end marked (in some way) during the machining process so I don’t have to find out how well they shoot backwards.
The choked cuts are far less sensitive to pellet (head) size, imo...but I think that the un-choked cuts
can
be just as accurate if you don’t feed undersized pellets. No luck so far with Crosman barrels other than the vintage stuff.
Sunglasses?... Geez… Those pictures were taken in the shade.
Thanks-
Wyo

Thanks, Nathan.
Here's an update from when it was "finished"...
So far, I haven’t been real happy with the accuracy. It’s been shooting about 4 moa for 10-shot groups (rested) at 10 meters. But it was the odd vertical stringing that made me think something was wrong, mechanically wrong.
Turns out, there was something(s) wrong – it was the barrel band and forearm. The forearm was hitting barrel band at the end of the intake stroke and the barrel band was pulling down on the barrel. Had these problems before but it didn’t dawn on me until now.
Namely, you don’t want the pump tube (or pump action) to communicate with the barrel…especially that far out from the breech.
The fix... reamed the barrel band out so the barrel would “float” thru the band:
And reshaped the forearm so the intake stroke was stopped by the piston contact with the barrel band insert (white circle):
Was rewarded for the effort with this sub 2 moa 10-shot group (the red circle is .437"):
I’ve been using a scope to really see what it can do and plan to shoot some more groups… just to be sure. Then I’ll run it over the chrony. Thanks-
Wyo
