Success with a classic HW77

Hi all,
Here's an old pic of the one and only critter I took with a classic 25mm tubed, Venom tuned HW77. I bought this gun at Bville because it shot so darned sweetly. It was crazy accurate. I used it for field target for a season, but I never could get used to the muzzle heaviness, so I let it go.
Anyway, I took it in the woods one day and sat quietly next to a stump. I waited patiently as I heard this guy foraging behind me. He must have walked within 5 feet of my side as he made his way ahead. He walked away from me for about 10 or 15 yards until he stopped long enough for me to squeeze off a shot. The pic shows the exit wound as he was quartering away. He folded on the spot.

My tuned HW77, which I've owned for 20 years lives in the gun cabinet mostly. Fine rifle, but heavy in the field. Your post has inspired me to get reacquainted. Thanks.
