Thanks to everyone that participated,to Jim for doing the work and to Scott for coming up with it. It was fun and I can,t waite to try some more.
I never thought much about a pistol,but I might have to see if Wally World has any 1377 on the shelf so I can get in on the new one.

If you are looking at a 1377 take a look at the Crosman Custom Shop 1300KT. It's a little more and will take several weeks to arrive but it does have some great built in features.

I had a 1377, well I still have it but is in completely different form. Added the steel breach because I have to have an optic (my arms are too shot to see sights and target at the same time). Then I added an 18" barrel, wide trigger, and shoulder stock. Then I added a TKO LDC. Then I added a fatty pump arm. All of this was before the 1300KT came out. I've seen the 1377 referred to as a money pit, black hole, and the most expense $50 gun ever because of all the mods that may be done.

Hmm... I'll have to find another scope for it (the scope I had on it now resides on my Blue Streak) and shoot the MP class. It's a fun little gun to shoot.

I actually looked into doing that and found out that Crosman will not ship to Illinois when ordering online.I could not even get a refurb 2100 shipped when ordering online.

I called and talked to customer service and they said I could get the 2100 over the phone but not online - so that means I can,t order from the custom shop.Kind of a bummer because I had a pretty cool one built on the custom shop site.

From reading a lot of threads here on GTA it looks like I can build one using various different venders but it will cost more and the whole 1377/1322 things looks like it could be a real rabbit hole! LOL.

I believe I would call Crosman and explain the situation to see if they would let you place a custom shop order by phone.

I set up a 10 meter range on the rear deck of our house after work last night. I wanted to run through a few guns and pellets to see where I would best fit in these matches. I still haven't got around to getting ink for the printer so I was making 5 rows of 5 circles measuring about 3/16 on a sheet of paper. I began with the metal/metal Daisy 880 which shot well enough to compete. Got to thinking that I didn't want to shoot a run of the mill Daisy 880. I wanted something different... Enter the Mendoza RM377. Made for Crosman from '81 - '83. I shot for a couple hours. I had pictures and stats and all the goodies to show it off. All in Betty Lou's cell phone. After the session I went in the house to move the pics to the laptop and for some reason.... all files were corrupt. That was discouraging enough just to send me to bed.
I will make another attempt this weekend... I should have ink by then.
Warning.... that RM377 did a really good job. Looking forward to it.

LOL Jim.... well believe it or not, a paintball at 35 yds and a dot the size of a pellet at 32 feet are two complete different monsters. We'll see.

Scott.... I'm not quite sure how to do the scoring yet since I don't have any of the correct targets printed out.
Marty.... I'm more likely going to enter a few different guns. The 880 was doing quite well. I just wanted to try something different and grabbed the RM377. I'm going to look at some open sight oldies as well when I print targets out that I can see with the naked eye. Such as the '69 347 and 312. I also have some guns in the MP class.
One of my objectives was to find a pellet to replace the Winnie domes when they run out. The RM377 proves to be the least pellet picky so far. The JSB 8.4 Diabolo and the Winnies were basically shooting neck and neck as far as accuracy goes.
If nothing else, this is providing some fun plinking and a chance to revisit some of my neglected guns. The days are beginning to get a little longer and some depression caused by going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark is lifting.

Bill, when I first took up this hobby I never thought I’d be launching lead at a target smaller than the bullet. A long way from how my dad taught me; son if we can hit that fence post on the top of that hill we’re good to go.

If I'm not mistaken you guys are taking 2 shots per target. Is that consecutive or do you run through the page of targets twice?

Either way is acceptable.

Also, depends on the target. Some are designed for one shot per bull and some for two. (The one shot per bull targets tend to be used with scopes.

I tried to give a better explanation in the tread for the new match. At least, I played cut and paste from rules for the regular season 50' casual match. I believe that I posted a link to these rules.

Please ask if you have any specific questions. Also, Mart2 is probably better at answering scoring questions than I am.

I think I will shoot 1 shot per target next time, easier for me to remember how many shots I took. As far as scoring I score in favor of the competition if in doubt, yeah I'm that laid back LOL

Bill, the directions for the match explains the scoring well. Jim can correct me if I’m wrong but here’s a pic that illustrates the scoring. You always score the highest number even if the mark barely makes contact with the line. On the .20 & .22 cal there is an outer ring surrounding the bull. Clipping this ring scores a 10. Clipping the bull on the .177 also scores a 10. In order to mark an “X” on either the .20, .22 or the .177 the bull must be completely wiped out.
