Wondering if anyone else is casting for .25 I just got the pellet mold from NOE seems to be working well. Had better results when I used lead and small amount of tin over pure lead. I also got two bullet molds one 41 grain BBT and one Lyman 65 grain. I found they work best when poured fast with a small ladle and touching the sprue plate. Just love the idea of being able to make my own ammo for my air rifles even though good pellets like JSB's aren't that expensive to shoot. I just hope they shoot ok. I will post results once I get a chance to test them all. My tin mix was made from RotoMetals 94 lead 6 tin mix that has cut in half win pure lead the 94/6 mix has a Brinell Hardness of approximately 11 so cutting it in half should get me even lower. This mix did work much better with the pellet mold hopefully they shoot decent. I am planning to get a big bore air rifle soon so this will give me lots of practice at casting.

Hi Paul, how is your casting going? Any results? How did they perform?
I am thinking the same route.

I like the semi wadcutter profile of those pellets. Big meplat on a dome. I bet they pack a punch! How is the accuracy of thise diabolos, and have you hunted with them?

I have that same NOE mold and it is a discontinued one. The pellets were nose heavy.
Here's what I'm using now, much better and very accurate
