How far away were you when you shot?

The garage corner is about 5 yards from the porch, given they were that close I estimate 15-20 yards.

Hate to think of what would've happened without you there. That's happened several times with pitbulls in my case. Is why I always carry in my yard for just such events. Glad you shot em because they would've done it again to someone else. You literally likely saved not just her life but others too.

Maybe a stray that I befriend, but never a hunting "Pack".

Yep a gang is when they like to attack things to get a rush or to eat for dogs that decide to leave their home and turn feral choosing to live in the wild. I don't relax on my patio without a gun by me ready to go and I keep ear plugs in my pocket but if I don't have time to put them in my ears I cover one ear with my shoulder and my other ear with my finger while shooting with the other hand. May look silly to anyone around if they see me but it beats ringing ears/tinitus.

I used the same method using the air horn to give the 2 minute warning and all clear signal.

I when I was a teen I watched a really old guy doing it with with the starter pistol at track meets, it was intuitive after that. He held the blank fire revolver up berried an ear into his shoulder and plugged the other with his free hand. I looked really silly so I asked why he did that and his response was I ain't got time to be futzing (not the word he used) with ear plugs or muffs now scram(the word he used) kid.

Brett nice truck! I've always loved those square bodies. A lot of people in the South primer theirs or slap bed liner all over it and that doesn't look bad either. Those rear tires look slick from all his burn outs hehe. Good pic of the 12ga shot! As for the dog....NONE SHALL PASS.

X I'd love to try some of that ammo on hogs. Likely wouldn't hurt them but the screams would be hilarious.
