 Abit warm from what i have been normalized to,, abit too windy though to shoot. Pellstop boxes buried under snow. Have not been shooting much since beginning of December2023. Today i shot a pespi can at 15 yards w a DP35m and Copperhead 5.7gr bbs. > see the can in the shadow? XD >

 At times overcast weather can seemingly blend the sky with the ground in a flat white light inwhich you or i am unable to see the horizon. Not exactly flat in this pic but close..
 Using tinted lenses like Amber helps with seeing contrast. Yellow tint prolongs and enhances dusk/dawn vision.
  On the right the blue shadaw reflecting on the clouds, that is the reflection of the ocean 20+ miles away. Around march the blue will become deeper. We have learned when the ocean is open it reflects the blue shadow on overcast sky.

Some smoke in the Great Smoky Mountains this afternoon

My stone gathering happy place. I hauled many, many tons out of here, for years, thousands of tons. This pile was perhaps 15' deep, and at bare minimum, a 1/2 acre wide/deep, maybe more. it was several building lots in its base dimension.
They had to crack huge house size granite boulders, and move them, to make room for building houses.
I asked permission to take some, and the job superintendent said,.. No one ever asks permission; They just take them. You go right ahead, and take as many as you want, for as long as you want. So, I did, many tomes. Then, in e day, they were all gone, sold off as river bank rip-rap stone. I'm very grateful for what I was able to gather for free.

And, my wife and I left gifts to the stone gods.

And, the rest are mine. They were well received by the commuters on the road that ran near the pile; they honked and gave thumbs up as I was building them. Then the piles would shift, and they disappeared.

I really like that scene
