I've always wanted to learn to do that and also tomahawk throwing.   What kind of knife is that.

This is something I've recently decided to take more seriously. I've always done spin throws which is rather easy as long as you have a predetermined distance. I'm now learning to throw no-spin, which requires drastically more training and practice.
True throwing knives are rather large and very beefy. I have many different sets which I've purchased from Amazon. There are many novelty knives sold as throwing knives, and these are usually very ornate, but are very flimsy and won't last long.

Axes and spinning knife throws I found fairly easy, but no-spin knife throwing is very frustrating. From all the videos I've watched, the message is to keep throwing and eventually you will figure it out....which could take up to a year to get fairly consistent I've only been doing no-spin for a few weeks, and I am content of my improvements. It probably doesn't help my progress that I'm using 3 very different knife designs.
While learning can be very frustrating, I am very much so enjoying the process. It's like driving golf balls at the range: you forget about those 10 shank every time you get that one straight, solid hit.

I count steps.  Different counts for running vs. walking.  I’m trying to make it intuitive so I will do multiple throws at multiple distances at a jog just trying to build that muscle memory.  I want to practice hitting moving targets too but I haven’t figured how to do that yet so I just move myself.  😆 I have the distances marked so I know where to go for now while I get the counts down.

Not yet.  I have a hard time getting my knives to stick just standing still.  I am much better with the tomahawk compared to the knives.

Look up combat half spin knife throwing. Fairly easy to learn, and a very powerful throw.
