I believe Richard's Microfit stocks offer some for the Marauder. http://www.rifle-stocks.com/

But I believe that for the trade-off of a decent price, you supply the final fit and finish. I have never purchased a price from them, so I have no idea what quality their product is, or what the product is like that you actually receive. But it seems like a decent place to start if you have some wood skills but not enough to start from scratch.

I have one of these in the gen 1 variety that I could send to a new home...for a reasonable adoption fee. :-) I haven't used it since I found a left-hand Boyd Blaster stock for my .25 Mrod. (My .22 Mrod still sports an R-Arms Teryx stock.)

Nice 10/22 with a bull barrel. Mine was a green laminate in stainless steel. They are great powder burners and have tons of aftermarket parts for them. I wish I had a picture.

I like my Boyd's varmint thumbhole.The cheek piece might be a little low,but the grip is very comfortable.Fit and finish I consider to be very good,mine was just a drop in.Plus I happened to find it in the rapid fire discount section.

I would order a one inch cheek piece from EA Brown...

When Thompson/Center made their carbine stock for the Contender, it was intended for use with iron sights so it was too low for scope use. I put an EA Brown cheekpiece on the carbine stock and eye to reticle alignment was perfect.

The Marauder action sits on top of the air tube and only certain stock makers take this in to account and inlet the stock blanks deeper to lower the action.

Golddregger in Paradise, CA always put a lift kit (from Brownell’s) on his stocks along with the deeper inletting.

I have one of those and everyone who has handled the rifle has been very pleased.

I understand to install the Brownell’s kit requires a band saw and then some basic wood-working skills to finish the wood.

I think it might be worth it.

That's the same color stock I have minus the checkering and I paid full price. My friend has an Epilog laser printer so I guess he can do the checkering for me plus maybe some Logos. I'm waiting for parts from Crosman (trigger guard) to complete the conversion from Armada to this. It should save a bunch of weight?

In general, most of Boyd's stocks weigh close to the Mrod wood stock. Some a little bit lighter, some a little bit more. Not really significant either way. The Armada does weigh a little more than a wood Mrod, but because it is muzzle heavy, it seems like more. The lightest and cheapest option is the Mrod syn stock, but many don't like "plastic".

As already mentioned, the Boyds stocks were designed around PB's, and not the large extra air tube of the Mrod, such that it needs some help in the cheek weld area.

PS: I could post the weight of the varmint thumbhole (from a savage though), wood Mrod, and syn mrod, these evening, if that helps your decision making.

Hi John, I'm not the OP but I'm going to weigh the Armada stock and the Boyds when I change over to see how much the weight savings is. The Armada is just heavy period to hike around with that's why the stock change.

Yea, I tried the Armada furniture, but didn't like the muzzle heavy feel. Sold the furniture and put the action in a rifle stock.

Not directly from Boyds, Disco or Mrod. Long before Boyd's offered any of thier stocks inletted for Benjiman guns, a few people offered the Blaster. They purchased Blaster blanks from Boyds and performed the inletting and finishing. To me, the Blaster is one of their best stocks. The one I have was done by Norm.

its kinda crazy boyds does not make the blaster stock for the mrod after all the stocks Norm bought from them to inlet for the mrod's ...and all the other people that did the same .... one would think they would have learned what the mrod market wanted

Thanks for the info John. Now I have a new problem. Crosman sent the wrong trigger guard. The guy I talked to said he couldn't find the correct number because they only sell the guard with the stock now. Does anyone have an extra they want to sell?

Edit: I think they sent the Gen 1 TG I read they are shorter?
