Anyone besides boyds actually make one that's affordable? Oh by the way... where do I go to sell done stiff I don't need??? I can't find a private classified section

If you fins another source for Marauder stocks, please post them here! I'm not aware of any other than Boyds and Crosman...

Someone will likely chime in on stock options as custom stocks usually aren't inexpensive. As far as selling stuff, that would be the Member Gate. Rules for posting are at the top and a must read before you try posting. If memory serves, you have to be a member for at least 30 days and have at least 20 posts to start (there's others, so definitely read the Rules) but you can get those easy enough by going to the New Members Gate and saying hello to enough people to get your 20 in.

I bought a used gen 1 Marauder with a mad dog stock. I actually like it over the gen 1 stock/stock.
Also I can't list anything on the sale page as I can't get pics to load which is mandatory. Brian

I just finished a laminate green camo stock for my gen 2 Marauder. Photo on Marauder website. $144 blank from turningblanks.com. About 12 hours for inletting, carving,fitting and spray polyurethane finish. Conventional woodworking tooling and eyeball. Done this method is more time intensive than computer guided milling and CNC 3D router, but either requires lotsa investment in tooling and experience in order to keep from making firewood. This is my first so I made two practice stocks before attacking the good one, the list of mistakes on those two was eye opening. And you would like all this for just how much?

We also have a member known as Shadow. He does some amazing hand painted camo jobs. You can search his stuff. Very reasonable option as far as cost.

I have a nice salt & pepper stock (Boyd’s Blaster).
Boyd’s does not sell this stock for Marauders.
Stock builders had to by then as blanks and then inlet them.
It is for a Gen I though.
$225.00 delivered.
Just for information because I am sure you have a Gen II....

Just the stock with trigger guard, butt-plate, sling swivels...

Michael Mckeowen ( i know i messed that last name up ) in Napa valley makes some really nice stocks and is trully an artist with wood renderings and styles etc. really loves to chase down nice pieces of wood.

So you don't like the Boyds stock? I had one on a Ruger 10/22 (Green and Black) years ago and I received compliments everytime I went to the range. I have one in black pepper on the way now.

Scott, unlike the Blasters, you may find the cheek weld a bit low (unless you have the lift kit). The lift kit cn be installed by Boyd’s or you can get a kit from Brownell’s...

Hi Frank, I hope the cheek weld is okay on the VARMINT THUMBHOLE stock I bought? If not I can always get a pad because I didn't see an option for an adjustable cheek weld. Or buy an adjustable one if I need a tall one. BTW this is going to replace my Armada stock. I already ordered the trigger guard and a few other things for the gun while it's apart.

Boyds makes a fine product and you should be pleased to have it. I wrote them a while back inquiring about availability of a varmit with adjustable comb . They replied that they should be back ready to order in a few weeks. That was a while ago so it looks like the thumb hole is your only choice.

I thought I saw the adjustable comb as an option on the Boyd’s website.

He used the kit from Brownells.
BTW EA Brown makes some very good pads to raise the stock a bit..

Thanks, for the info Mitch. Most rifles are not very comfortable for my wrist it doesn't bend well. That's why I like pistol type stocks or thumbhole stocks. I'm sure it will be fine. As far as the comb I can always add to it or play a little with the scope height. The Armada stock is if for bench shooting but it's a bit heavy to carry around even with the sling.

WOW, Frank, that's a gorgeous gun. I was very close to ordering a green or blue stock for mine. But instead went with the black pepper for mine. I see where you can order some really nice Walnut and mixed type stocks but they cost more than the gun. LOL I'm looking at the FX Streamline in laminate but I need to do more shooting and research before spending big money.
