Gamo Urban owners - How long until your rifle was "broken in"

Hi all,
I've been setting up a new Urban over the past week (and loving the bang for the buck), but my main complaint right now is how "crunchy" the bolt is.
My question to other Urban owners... Did your bolt/cocking handle ever smooth out? How long did it take? Does the cocking effort ever get lighter/easier?
Thanks for the info!

I put a tiny bit of Moly on the bolt shaft and this helped...But it was after about 500 pellets that it became a little smoother

Congrats on the Urban. My bolt was a little "rough" for the first five to seven mags, but smoothed out nicely. Have you shot it over a chronograph to see what kind of velocity you are getting? The reason I ask is I've turned up my hammer spring tension and am pushing 16 grain pellets at 850 ft/sec. Cocking the bolt takes a little more effort than what it was set from the factory (and shooting about 770 ft/sec.) but is still very smooth. You might double check your magazine and make sure you aren't forcing the pellets across an imperfection on the edge of it.

The bolt got pretty smooth after maybe 100 pellets,i dont think the pull will get lighter unless you lose spring tension or adjust for lower power.
It didnt take any break in for the barrel ,accurate from the start.

Lucky us. My wife and I each have a gamo urban. They both shot great out of the box. The bolts were both smooth, but hard to pull back. Lowered hammer spring tension until they were both shooting around 800 fps with 14.3 wt. pellets. Much easier to cock now and still shoot great.

Same for me. The bolt was always pretty smooth, but stiff out of the box (at least I don't remember any "crunchy" issues). I reduced the power on mine as well and that removed the stiffness. My 10 year old son couldn't cycle the bolt out of the box but has no problems now.
