I believe he is talking about reusing the duct seal Tom. I use a sharp knife to kinda slice into it and pull the pellets out. You might try a metal comb also.
Happy Shooting!!!!

I clean the pellets out with tweezers or small forceps after each target.
(i dont shoot magnum power)
I just came in from shooting a bit at one my small duct seal targets,
and because I know the trap was clean, I can only believe what I found, because
I know the trap was fresh.
Was trying to get a good 20yard group with my HW30S bench rested, Williams Peep.
After 5 shots, the binoculars told me the 'wind' (?) was ruining my effort, already 1" sideways and 3/4" up and down....
So switched from RWS Exact Express domed pellets and shot 3 RWS Miester 7.0gr WC's off-hand standing to finish up....
Binoculars showed me only one new hole
I could only find 6 holes in the paper. but 2 were slightly larger.
Of the five spread out holes from the bench rested domes, 2 of the off-hand WC's found the same places to land.
When tweezed out of the duct seal, both WC's were inside the skirts of the domes. Not even a little bit off center.
These kinds of finds are why I always clean out my trap after every target. Never a
doubt about where the doubles are.... Usually my finds are less exciting, but my recycle lead box gets all my spent lead.

Yup. Tweezers here, too. After every shooting session, for me.
Even for higher power guns, tweezers will still do the job, just takes a little more fishing around and tugging

I put an aluminum plate behind my duct seal and layered two of the Home Depot bricks deep . I clean my trap about every thousand rounds or so. Never have had a ricochet, bounce back or anything of the kind. The lead fuses together in a nice little mass after a while. Still just as quiet as fresh duct seal. I guess it would cut the weight down a bit if I cleaned it more. You can if you want, but you really don't need to do it after every shoot.

Has anybody tried clay instead of duct seal? I wonder if it would be cheaper.

I just sit down with some colds ones at hand and tear it apart and dig em out then reform my duct seal. I throw my used pellts in a buckt then melt em down ands make decoy wieghts or fishing sinkers
