Wayne, are you picking the Sentry over the DAR ? I’m really on the fence about the two.

I haven't really gotten out with the Gen II yet. I've got to get a scope mounted on it after I adjust the hammer in it to where it should be. The Sentry in my opinion is just as accurate as the DAR's, it's heavier but has a lot better finish on it thant the DAR. The DAR I'll have to be really careful in the woods with it because I don't care for the finish on it myself, it's just like the finish that was on the 1st Gen by the looks of it. Out of the box the DAR Gen2 is tuned worse than any of the Gen1's were out of the box. I only get 10 shots and it's already falling off the reg. Yesterday when I went to the woods with my Sentry, I knew it would be a pleasure to use as always and the darned thing has been really hard to give it a rest, it's simply a rock solid gun for what it is.

Thanks Keith !!! All my guns I use to hunt with, I do enjoy putting up a pin up target now and then just to see if a scope is zeroed in good but haven't done it for a while because it's deer gun season right now so I only hunt when I'm out there now. When gun season is over I can discard the orange vest and go back to using just the orange hat again.

Okay Wayne, maybe I should get another Sentry instead of the DAR since I haven't paid for it yet.

How would the 702 compare to the DAR? I know the 702 has fewer shots than the 705, is it as accurate?

I'm 64 and value your opinion.

This will be the last air gun I purchase so I want to get it right.

Buddy I bought my 702-5K when they were still $250, I wish that I'd waited longer for the $225 price but such is life. Here's a shot string pic right after I did the mods to it. For hunting purposes I don't think there will be a real bad accuracy difference, I haven't really shot my 702's nearly as much as my 705-9K.

I'm glad I cancelled mine. I think I'm going to go ahead and get the 702 since I have a 795 already. I'll have Mike do his +1 power tune too.

Yes if you order it in .22 that's exactly what I got for $250 in May this year.

I called Mike and he said he's out of the 702s. He said he can't keep them on the shelves they're selling so fast and he doesn't know what's going on.

He said he should be getting a new shipment in a couple of days and told me to call him back later this afternoon.

The 702s aren't as powerful as the 705s but I think you already knew that.

Mike also said they're louder.

Buddy even though they're louder they are much more nimble, they're basically a carbine style.

Okay I need some help here.

How do you get the degas block out of the pressure tube on a 705-9k so I have access to the exhaust valve? I've tried slightly hitting it against a 2x6x2 but that thing isn't budging. I'm worried about bending or damaging the tube.

My 702 Sentry .22 is scheduled for delivery Tuesday December 1st, can't wait.

I still need some instruction/help on getting the exhaust valve out of my 705-9K.

Go to page#30,(this post), post#583, all the info for the 705 dismantle and spec's is there.
you need a M16x2.0 bolt, you have to weld this bolt to a rod so you reach down approximately 18+" to the burst disc holder,
after that is removed then you use a wide bladed screw driver to unscrew the valve top, (to reduce the "O" ring pressure) and then the valve can be pushed out towards the front (muzzle) end.

If you going to tear down this far, you might as well replace all the "O" rings with good ones,
as it will save you headaches later on............

My 705-9K .22 just got dropped off by the BBT. I cleaned the barrel with the Patch Worm and about a dozen patches with some Ballistol.
Then I mounted my Athlon Talos 3-12x40mm Mil Dot scope. I have to say I love the feel of this gun! It feels solid! It looks great too, at least I think so, anyways.
I'll try and run a few rounds over the chronograph tomorrow to check it out a little bit.
The side lever is nice. I like the magazines too! So far so good!

Mike also included a 10 yard target and some chrono numbers for some different pellets.
