Thanks Wayne, are they all straight holes no angles? Also how did you get to the breech port, I'm assuming from the bottom?

Did you use a drill press or free hand? I have a drill press if needed.

Yep all straight holes and I do drill the breech port from the bottom.  If you have any problems getting it apart send me a pm and I'll explain what I do for getting them apart.  You will need a long screwdriver to loosen the end cap on the valve to get it out of the tube.  For removing the degas block I bonk it on a piece of wood, once I get it close to the front of a tube I'll pressurize with my compressor using a stack of o rings the right size on the nozzle and they'll come right out, I just hold it towards a big rag when I'm doing it.  The blocks never seem to come out too fast either but I never did make a removal tool for them so that's the way that I do it.

I was sold when I saw the review that The Airgun Detectives channel did on the 705 as well as all the positive feedback here.
I have always liked the look of this rifle for some reason. I think it is going to be sweet.

Robert even when the new Sentry 705-9 .22's are bone stock they really can make good energy,  pretty much any small game up to raccoon is very doable with them.  I see you're getting the power tune and I think you'll more than likely appreciate Mike M's expert tune for sure, I have no doubt that he address's a lot of things automatically when doing one.  As with any airgun there's going to be the weaker points on a stock gun that can always be taken care of and Mike knows where they all are I'm sure.

Yea, being a newb to this gun I figured I will let Mike do his magic on it. He has a great reputation, so why not?
I'm looking to be able to get a 18.13 JSB going in the 900fps range. That will pretty much take care of any small game
I would want to hunt with this gun.
I'm going to use the same scope I put on my DAR Gen II .25
Athlon Talos 3-12x40mm Mil Dot. I really like that scope. Very clear glass for the money. Side focus. Very good quality.

I’m looking for the overall length of the 702 and the latest 705. I checked through this thread and I think I find the 702 at 37 inches but can’t seem to find a length on the 705. Anyone ?

The 705 is 40 1/4 inches. I just measured mine for a guy over on facebook.

Will any metal fill probe work with the 705? I'd like to have a spare on hand.

Buddy I think Mike@FDAR gets $30 for them, someone pm'd me a while back who didn't have a probe for one that he bought asking and that's what I recommended to him, he had a probe within a few days.

Yahoo! Ordered my 705 Sentry .22 this morning and just got a reply from Mike that he's shipping it out on Monday. Ordered the scope and rings this morning too. Can't wait.

To be honest ever since I have been into these Sentry's I've a hard time grabbing anything else when I head for the woods.  Accuracy is unreal, it's got a good trigger and I get a lot of shots on a fill in case I feel like doing some plinking.  These Sentry's have turned out to be one of the most reliable pcp's that I own also, I can leave any one of the four that I have just sit for a month or more, when I go to get it, the air is right where I left it when I put it in the gun room.  They all shoot the slugs that I cast REALLY great and shoot the pellets that I cast as well as my cast Hunters and Magnum Hunters.  The wood stocks they come with has an excellent finish on them that's better than any other pcp I've got in my opinion.  I admit that my pcp's are all inexpensive ones however I think that the Sentry is right at the top as far as my bargain guns go.  The only other gun that I'd place as my go to gun is my Airmax Dominator which is also regulated and shoots extremely well but it too has some faults that I'm not crazy about and parts for it are next to impossible to get.

I have Flying Dragon Air Rifles in my bookmarks and check often on the latest news on these guns.
