Part 29 the hole is decent size. I drilled one out a size bigger, I'm forgetting, maybe 1/4". To make it bigger risks giving nothing for the valve spring to push against. It's possible a person could drill some small holes in the face on an angle to let more air in.

I am attempting to be as accurate in measuring everything,
but I have to use US standards etc, my Metric Foo is lacking etc.
As soon as I can get the valve out I'll add the info, along with photo's etc.

Would there be that much difference between the 702 and 705 models, in parts?

For not being broken in, that seems to be very good ballistics so far..........

the receiver blocks are slightly longer on the sidelever, i tried to slip in a barrel from a .22 hc bolt onto a .22 Sl and it would not seat in all the way, most likely machining the barrel taper could fix that but the shroud tube would need to be cut as well

Wayne having all three variety's can you compare receiver block mounting screw spacing?

Zed I can't seem to see any difference in mounting locations on the outside, I did notice a change on the screw that goes into the top of the hammer on the side levers however the newer 702-5K has the same change in it and it's bolt action   Xisico seems to have little changes on these guns in every shipment from what I can see with what I've got.  There must be a lot of people still buying these guns because his last shipment of HC .22 sidelevers lasted about half as long as he predicted.  Last time I looked all he had in stock were the .25's and .177's.   Supposed  to be the end of June before the .22's arrive.

I recently tried on ebay and nobody is selling used ones there that I see, even the older ones.

I completely went through the gun to make sure everything is kosher, deburred everything that needed deburring and did some measurements.
Valve Diameter = 25.8mm
Airtube OD = 30mm ID= 25.8mm
poppet diameter = 9mm, stem diameter=3mm
original TP I.D.=3.3mm

Here's a chrony test I did after reassembling, it's the first 32 shots out of this gun and I'm sure after 1K rounds things will change a little.

Don that was just a little over #4, I just backed it off to #4 and did a 24 shot string starting at 2700psi which would be a good fill in 70 degree weather but tomorrow I'll start at 2800psi fill when I leave the house, I'll get 24 good shots in the cooler weather we're supposed to get tomorrow.

Here's the setting I'll be using in the woods tomorrow, I'll top the gun off to 2800psi before I leave the house and by the time I get out in the woods the psi will probably have dropped 100 psi on the gun before shooting.  Yeah Michigan weather has cooled down again but not real bad.  This gun I'll use mainly as a pellet shooter even though I'm sure it would shoot my slugs good but my HC .22 is much better setup for that.  I could probably even back the power down to 3 but I'm going to try it at 3 1/2 for starters.  I did notice that the loudness went way down just from going from 4 down to 3 1/2.

                                 

I have a good supply of these pellets too so I can shoot a lot with this gun conserving on air as well

Thanks, I got most of the parts to tear apart my Sentry, I got the valve out finally,
after several trips to the mill to thin the blade to fit the valve notch, so I could unscrew it.

That valve is very HD built isn't it, I'll post my info about this 705-2 model 22 cal,
I can see where the nose heavy weight comes from, that psi tube can be used for a jack handle............ ,
it is heavy, I'll weigh it tomorrow just to see the weight.

It looks like I'll be able to use a Flat Wire spring for the hammer spring,....... ,
I have to figure a way to cleanly get the muzzle break off, so I can check the muzzle/crown,
the chamber end has a sharp ring in it, that needs smoothing etc.

If you take the bolt out, watch for the spring and ball bearing that locks the bolt down, rear end,
that little sucker like to hide across the room etc.......LOL, twice,
over 2 hrs spent looking for it, had to get the big magnet out to find it the second time.

I found lots of alum metal silvers scattered thru out action, reason for the gritty action of the bolt,
will clean that up in the am. The TP holes/valve etc are very small, I'll leave them OEM stock for now,
and run a couple of tests, to get a base line etc.

What was recommended by Gendoc was drilling a hole in a short piece of 2x4 a little bigger than the barrel then use the 2x4 on the barrel like a slide hammer and they'll pop that LDC right off.  I've done both mine and it's really easy getting them off that way.  These LDC's do quiet them down more than some might think but nothing like a well made one.

At this time,
I cannot get the shroud off the bbl, because of the muzzle LCD etc,
does the rear cap/plug come off the bbl, when the bbl is out of the action,
so you can remove the shroud etc?

Did Gendoc post that info on this post?

I want to check the muzzle, since I am this far into it etc.............

First you have to loosen the set screw holding the barrel into the breech, then the shroud/barrel/ldc assembly you need to pull that out from the receiver, then the shroud can be removed of the breech end as can everything else.  before you try taking off the ldc you have to have just the barrel and ldc that's pressed on the front of the barrel.  When you're at that point you can do the 2x4 thing.  There's also a set screw holding the LDC on the barrel too.

Has anyone found a picitiny rail that will bolt to the two brass inserts on the handgaurd ,? I  like my flashlight on the left side at 9 0clock. Although I have other rifles setup like that this little carbine is just the ticket for backdoor varmint dispatching.

Took mine out this morning. Somehow over the winter it's favorite pellet has changed. Now it is shooting one holers at 30 yards with the JSB 15g . Previously it liked the H&N 14g.
7 mags of 8 so 56 shots at mid power, pressure fell from 3000psi to 1500 and it is just starting to drop POI.

I bought my Sentry used and it came without the side rails.
I found some "Mag-pull" pieces on ebay and the bolt hole spacing was SOOOO close the holes only needed a little elongation with the dremel to fit.
I MAY still have the package if you need the part number.

Don that's the way that my poppet is and valve are as well.

I bought my Sentry used and it came without the side rails.

On your 702-3 model, 22 cal, I see that you have a full length square shroud,
and you have an M-Rod style bolt, out the back.
What is the length of your shroud?
Where is your psi gage located?

Yes... Rear cocker
From the breech block to the end of the shroud measures 16-1/8"
The gauge is underneath towards the trigger side of the fore grip.

At one time I had an LED on the right, a green lazer on the left, and a bypod underneath... Sucker weighed a TON.... so now I only have the LED light underneath.... for night stuff, Ya know.
