Does anyone know if the automatic safety can be disabled and be usable as a manual safety? I got my .25 and shrouds back from Rocker1 a couple weeks ago and finally had time to mess with the .25 today. So far at 10 meters it likes the 25.39 JSB's. The Benjamin's were in second place. I also tried grizzly pellets and they hit all over the place. That's all the .25 ammo I have.

I was thinking to get the 34 grain JSB's but the Benjamin 27.8 grain pellets were averaging around 830 fps. So the 34 grainers should be going slower. I don't want a loopier trajectory. Maybe some lighter pellets?

I tried the H&N Baracudas in mine the other day and they were all over the place. Those were 31.02 grains.

I had somewhat better results from H&N Field Target Trophy 19.91 but am not impressed.

Beeman Crow Mags are next. I'll report how those do.

My Sentry has a black synthetic stock. I bought it off the gentleman Wiseguy sold his to. I'm not certain as to what version it is. All I know is that with the stock barrel shroud it is crazy loud. It shoots 1/4"-1/2" groups with JSB 18.13gr., Crosman Premiers, and Gamo Redfire 14.5gr. Pellets. 35 shots at current power setting with 830-860fps with the JSB 18.13s and 890-910 with the Crosman's and Gamo Redfires.

Wiseguy had covered his wooden stock with bed liner or plasti-dip or something similar. A synthetic stock would be a nice weight reduction if it was available. $:-\$

Rick,

Rocker1 made me two full length shrouds. I have installed the one on my .25 and it works great. I just started tuning it as it was shooting a little slow. I'd like to get it shooting in the high 900's for 3 or 4 shots as it is my short range, < 25 yards, pest gun. I'm not looking for efficiency but the most smack it will produce on a 3000 psi fill.

It's shooting the JSB 25.39 Exacts at close to 900 fps with my first tuning attempt. I need to find a stiffer spring. Mike M. has already opened up the transfer port and barrel port.

I also need to get some 34 grain JSB's to try out too. Tuning eats up a lot of pellets lol.

Well that explains the stock. It was a very well done job. The barrel shroud on the other hand not so much. But I was able to rebuid it last night. It was a bit loose and kind of poorly fitted. But to be fair it did a great job of moderating noise. My sound meter shows a report of 86 decibels with shroud versus 94 decibels with the stock shroud.
Btw, I contacted TKO and he has qouted an approximate cost of $125-$150 for a full shroud.

Groupings were shot at 25 yards. It has been cold weather here lately( received the rifle tuesday) so all testing was done off a folding chair with a rolled up towel for a front rest and no rear bag. Saturday is supposed to be 45+ degrees so I will dig out the shooting bench, front rest and rear sandbag to better determine accuracy at 20-50 yards.
Btw, with the Benjamin trail np shroud mod noise is very reasonable.

Now if you think your airgun is loud.... stay away from an 8mm Mauser.

It isn't bad at all now. Just a few simple things needed to get Wiseguys homemade shroud up and running a bit better. All simple things. My sound meter registers 86db now. With the factory shroud it hit close to 100db.
P.S, I used to shoot a wildcat catridge called the .243 JRM. Basically a 30/06 necked down to 6mm then fireformed into an Ackley improved 6\06. It was the loudest gun I have ever shot.

Taso, Id like to see one of those shrouds. Rocker1 made a moderator for my Varmint and what difference! I might have to get a shroud for my Sentry.

Spydereye, Winter has returned to my local as well. That and my schedule has kept me from getting anywhere on my gun. I`m still shopping pellets for it.

My total cost was $210. That was for two shrouds and the the shipping of my rifle back. I asked David to remove the stock plastic receiver guide for the stock shroud and make adapters that butt up to the receiver and fit into the recess in the receiver.

When I got everything back I drilled divots in the barrel for the grub screws for each of the shroud ends to recess into so that they wouldn't slip.

Thanks Scott. I'm not a big fan of the plastic forearm but it was easier to mount a flashlight there. Maybe I can figure out a nicer stock or a plastic forearm replacement.
