I did. I'm pulling the barrel with both hands. Did anybody need to heat the LDC to get it off of the barrel.

A hot air gun or the wife’s blow dryer should help on the plastic.

Well, Mike returned my email telling me to remove the sleeve first and then the ldc. Yes!!!! Getting the barrel sleeve off was a little bit of a pain but a lot less than what I'd been doing to try and get the ldc off.

Hi guys, I'm new to PCP rifles and looking into Xisico 705's and the DAR's. I haven't decided on a caliber yet, for my first one, but I see several of you have both. My question is do you have a brand preference and what caliber did you choose and why?

Jerry welcome to the group.  I got the Sentry 705 in .22 tuned by Mike at flying Dragon air rifles and would highly recommend him.  The answers you seek are not going to be summed up in a nice concise answer as there are 100's if not 1000's of pages written on make model and caliber choices.  This is a long thread but I read it all before deciding to buy.  I am very happy with this choice for my first PCP.  I think you will get more response if you narrow your questions and have done your part by researching what has already been said about those topics.  Good luck

Thanks for your thoughts again Wes. I'm still up in the air as to which caliber to go with. Either .177 or .22.
In my reading I see the DARs are back up and running with their Gen II, so I've just added the DARs to the 705s. The DARs are in stock I believe but the .22 Sentry is 2 months out or more, the other 2 cal. are in stock per MM. Not really in a rush but want to get going, LOL.

Some like myself have had problems with our sentry leaking and some have not. Mike even notes right on his website that all PCPs leak eventually. Are you mechanical inclined?

Hi Robert, I don't know just how mechanically minded I really am but I have a 10x30" lathe (that is for sale), a 14x40" gunsmith lathe and a 9x49" knee mill to mention a few things in my shop. I consider myself an "aspiring Apprentice" to be honest. The moral to this story is don't hang around your gunsmith friends unless you want to broke buying tooling. LOL. I'm probably in over 20K now.

Hi all!

A little while ago I finally received my Huma regulator. Had the spacer made to fit between the valve and the burst disc. Today I shot it for the first time.
Before fitting the reg I had good groups when the tube pressure was at 2200 psi and 2400 psi, so I figured to set the reg midway about 158 bar (2291 psi). I ran a few mags through it before starting measurements, I figured the reg needed to "settle" a bit first. I would like to share my results, and ask your opinions...

I got the best accuracy on power level 3, drilling 15.89gr Hades in the mag into a 9mm ctc group @ 30m:
Shot 1 - 744 fps 19.54 ftlbs
Shot 2 - 741 fps 19.38 ftlbs
Shot 3 - 734 fps 19.01 ftlbs
Shot 4 - 744 fps 19.54 ftlbs
Shot 5 - 741 fps 19.38 ftlbs
Shot 6 - 741 fps 19.38 ftlbs
Shot 7 - 738 fps 19.22 ftlbs
Shot 8 - 738 fps 19.22 ftlbs

Standard deviation - 3.28 fps
Extreme spread - 10 fps
Average - 740.25 fps

I can't complain about the accuracy, but I was wondering if the temperature could impact the velocity? We had some snow in the nearby mountains, today was 7°C (44,6°F).

Well after shooting both .177 and .22 a friend has I like the .22 better. He is going to get a .25 next. I liked his thinking, get either a.22 or a .25 then the other when you feel the "Need". Both usually is the answer. LOLL. Which brand is in stock is the other answer.

. When I ran that shot string it was around 80F.  Also, I have the Stage 1 tune from Mike.

Well, I tried to see if my sentry will group now. Found that it's doing fine vertically but not horizonically. It was only a spread maybe a half an inch vert but 2.25 inches horizontally. Need to try it again tomorrow without the ldc to see if it's clipping.
