Four different pellets shot from 35 yards with no scope adjustments.  I shot over the chrony so you can see the results below.  5 shot strings, starting at 2700 psi, ending at 2400 psi.  Not pellet picky at all! This is with the 23ci tank on the Gauntlet!

its going to be hard to beat that with the other more/less equal AG's out there !!
and its gotta lot to do with your ability also, and the 23ci tank

I don't think my .177 Gauntlet will do that even with its favorite pellet.
It likes both JSB 8.44 and JSB 10.34 but they group at different places.
Do you think the .22 is more accurate than the .177?

Not sure, but I’m thrilled with how it shoots!  And that’s a 4 gr difference in pellet weight.  Other air rifles I own will shoot nice groups, but not all together like the Gauntlet!

Whats not to like about that? I do not know of any other air rifle that I have shot or read about that will put as many different pellet down range in as tight a group.
Being able to go to Wallyworld and pick up a tin of 500 for $5 and shoot like that is one of the major enjoyment variables in this sport.


Below is the results of my Gauntlet .22 shooting Crosman Premier 14.3gr pellets after my tweaking and adjusting.
The 20 shots string and card were at 20 yards and the targets are 20 individual 1" squares on an 8"x 11" Target sheet.

Great stuff Paul! That is amazing how they are grouping together so well despite the weight difference in the pellets! You and Hajimoto both have your guns shooting nice power wise as well now, too!

Paul, did you modify/work on your rifle to get the listed power. Most posts I have seen are listing low 800’s for speed on the .22. Still awaiting delivery of mine.

Jim:  Me too!  I'm still waiting for the rest of the parts I need for my regulator tester! 

Gary:  All I have done is swap the 13ci tank/regulator that came with the Gauntlet to a 23ci tank/regulator I purchased from AliExpress.  The regulator on the 23ci tank is supposed to be 1200 psi, but I have not confirmed that yet.

Once I get the tester parts and get it assembled, I'll be able to see the actual output of the stock 13ci tank and the 23ci tank.  My goal is to get the regulated outputs as close to the same as possible so when I swap tanks, the power output of the Gauntlet will remain the same.

I have found a rubber thingy when I removed the stock that came loose towards the back of the rifle.  Is this supposed to be cradling the air tube towards the back end of the rifle?

Haj, thanks for the very informative video on testing/changing the regulator. I just received the three parts for the testing the regulator and the McMasters shims to change the setting. Now I have to find time
to do it.

If you test the regulator and have less than 1100 Psi you will have the regulator apart, shimmed and back together in less than 5 mins.

I have found a rubber thingy when I removed the stock that came loose towards the back of the rifle.  Is this supposed to be cradling the air tube towards the back end of the rifle?

That rubber thingy is a filler between the stock and the end of the rifle.  Strictly a device to cover the hole.  I think the manual mentions it.  Just fit it back into place.

I’m traveling so I don’t have the link. It is posted in one of the Gauntlet threads though. That rubber piece is just a filler, I just slides in the space behind the receiver. I don’t think it really does anything but fill the space.

Here it is. The fill nipple is 90 degrees not 180 though as Paul has mentioned. You have the option of choosing 1200psi output.
