K baffles

Had a try at a couple micro K baffles to fit the Mrod shroud. Can't say I could tell any difference between regular vs K style. It was a learning experience making them though.

The baffles from the Marauder remind me somewhat of my baffles from my surefire Ryder .22 can. Just without the nose on them. Compressed air and burning gunpowder require slightly different approaches to muffle the noise I'd think

Shorty, you need a series of radial holes around your straight leg wall, and a large angled hole that breaks the straight leg wall and the angled wall.
This will add more surface area and volume to the DC.  This will make it much quieter.

As already stated the k baffle design uses mouse holes to re direct flow. I think the biggest issue with k baffle designs in an oem mrod shroud will be the available volume. Theres just not enough volume in the oem shroud to utilize the k baffle design to its fullest. You can try adding the mouse holes as suggested but it may not make much difference. Imho if you did the k baffle and used an ID on the shroud or ldc around 1.5” you would get some really good results.
