Gather around boys, and let me tell you about the best looking and most accurate spring powered airgun in the whole wide world. And its mine. If you dont agree, well, you're just wrong. Its not the most powerful or the fastest, but it wasnt meant to be. Its an an Air Arms Pro Sport. I just got it yesterday. I had to work yesterday which was the same day the gun was supposed to be delivered. Since I wasn't gonna be home, I called Fed X and arranged to pick it up personally. I was supposed to get a phone call from them as soon as it was ready for pickup. That call finally came at about 1:30 in the afternoon. The Fed X office is in the coverage area of the Fire Station where I work so there was no problem with us taking the firetruck over there to get my gun. I was so excited to finally be getting it in my hands. I had bought it from Dr. Tommy Cupples, aka "TCupps", one of our moderators here on the GTA, whom I had the great pleasure of meeting at the fun shoot at Mr. Gene's house. He didn't have the gun with him but after hearing the description of it, I knew that I had to have it. This gun is one of only three 22 cal. AA Pro Sports in the whole world that was fitted with a left handed walnut stock. There was only three 177 cal. with the left handed walnut stock also. (I believe my facts are straight here) If not, well, lets just say that they are. Mr. Tommy insisted that he send the gun to Mr. Gene to be checked out before I took delivery of it. I was kept in the loop of when it was shipped and delivered to Mr. Gene. And Mr. Gene kept me informed of all the time he spent playing with it and even when it got stolen by a band of illegals that have taken up residence in the old mill across from his house. Ha ha ha. Well anyway, now I finally have the box in my hands. I opened it up right there in the Fed X store to make sure it was all in one piece. When I got it back to the station, I gave it a long looking over. The walnut is absolutely beautiful and the blueing is perfect. Everything is right, tight and out of sight. I went outside in the 102* heat and got me a pellet out of my truck. I just couldn't stand having it there for the rest of the day and night and not shooting it at least once. As soon as I got home with it I robbed another gun and mounted one of my scopes on it, temporarily because I have another scope coming for it, because I wanted to get down to shooting this beauty. The trigger is awesome with a light and smooth travel through the first stage and a nice crisp break of the second stage. I dont have a trigger scale so I dont know the pull weight. I have 9 different pellets on hand, so I shot groups with each from 20 yards just to see what would happen. WOW!! This gun shot 8 of them really good and the 9th one was still good enough to hunt with. Now for some chronograph testing. I chose the 4 pellets that I thought showed the tightest groups. It was real hard to leave some of the pellets out because their groups were equally impressive. I tried to take into consideration that this was really my first time to shoot the gun and I was only begining to get the feel of it. I shot 3 strings of 10 shots each for a good 30 shot average on the results for each of the 4 pellets tested. I'll list them in the order of the ones that gave me the tightest 20 yard group first and so on. Pellet #1 was actually a shocker to me because none of my other guns group this pellet well at all.

That's a beautiful gun, Richard. You must be stoked to get it in your hands and to finally be shooting it. Isn't it pleasant when they shoot a bunch of pellets well, including some of the cheaper ones? It's nice to have a choice of pellets to use in a gun instead of just one.
If you need someone to store it for you when you are on duty, feel free to give me a call?
joe
ohbytheway, what did the other guys at the station have to say about it?

They liked the looks of it but werent overly impressed. Mainly because they think Im too old to play with BB guns. They are mostly young men who just recently grew out of BB guns and are into PBs. I keep telling them that I love my PBs as much or more than them, but I can shoot AGs much cheaper per shot and pretty much anywhere I want without all the noise.

Those young guys just don't have the good sense to recognize exquisite craftsmanship when they see it Richard. That gun is truly a work of art. Congratulations my friend. Glad she has such an awesome tolerance for pellets. That's just icing on the cake. Glad you were able to come home from the shoot with such a prize. Happy shooting!
