I only put it in to show the OP that the gun would preform to his stated shooting ranges. It was just another option that John could look at is all. Nothing more & nothing less. Quote from: Skunkarue62 on November 06, 2017, 09:10:26 PM realy dont want to buy a springer that i would regret the purchase later.I think this goes without saying...............from everyone I have an 18yo Diana 48, and it is a fantastic springer of fantastic quality. However, it is a very heavy gun, so this is something to consider if you plan to carry it into the woods for hours at a time. Personally, I think that barrel droop is over-hyped. While it obviously does exist, it isn't as prevalent as one would assume.

John : You may want to take a look at this one. I just received this one in 22 cal. It shot well, right out of the box ( after barrel clean-up). My wife got this for me on sale at PA. I think AGD has them too. It is a good hunting type gun but it is Not a Looker with a Walnut Stock. The open sights are all metal and no plastic. The muzzle break unscrews for a threaded barrel. The gun comes un-scoped and weighs about 7 Lbs. It handles well in heavy cover and the Clean Break Trigger is a big improvement over past Crosman triggers. I just took a squirrel with it today. It was 18 degrees out this morning. I shot the squirrel out of a tree at about 30 yards. It was "Lights Out & Dead Right There" on the squirrel with one shot to the lower chest. This would be a good Field Grade Hunting gun but Not a Show Gun. This one has the NP #2 Gas Ram in it and cocks fairly easy, it Hits Hard and Shoots Straight. No Barrel Droop at all. I just got the gun 2 days ago. I have only shot about 30 shots thru this gun. It is not broken in yet and it already shot a dime sized grout at 25 yards The gun's shot groups may improve even more as it gets broken in. See my Hunting Posts in the Hunting Gate for more info.
Skunkarue62is this like a debraded European springer that crossman made then? Is it loud?
John : This is xracer's NP2 gun. It is on sale a PA also. This gun has a shroud on the barrel and is rated by PA as #2 in loudness. It has the same internals as my gun and would be out of the box quieter than my gun. It does not have the option of open sights. It does have a camo pistol-grip stock. Dinh can fill you in on all the details of this ( his ) gun. Best Wishes -Tom
I've yet to try hunting in sub freezing temps, but I can vouch for the accuracy of my new Benjamin Trail NP2. I plink at a 3" steel target out to 50yd (on rested elbows). Even the included Center Point scope has very nice glass and been completely on target. I also opted for the very cool Realtree snow camo skin stock. Another plus is that it shoots cheapo CPHP very accurately for plinking and hunting purposes. Its on the longer side, but not heavy(even with CP scope) and shoulders really nicely even for my 150lb 5'6" frame. Lastly, the shroud works very well in keeping that bark down.
Quote Skunkarue62is this like a debraded European springer that crossman made then? Is it loud?John : This is a Chinese made, NP 2 Gas Ram Series, Rifle from Crosman/Benjamin. In my opinion, it is a "out of the box ready hunting rifle." It does not come with a cheap Combo scope that everybody complains about. Consequently you are not paying for a scope that you will not use anyway. It comes with sling swivels and studs. It has all metal open sights. The small ported muzzle break unscrews to render you a nice threaded barrel. The Clean Break Trigger is WAY better than the triggers on older Crosman/Benjamin guns. Being that it is a gas ram gun, the noise factor is reduced and can be improved upon by adding a sound moderator to the Threaded Barrel. My gun was loudest on it's first 3 shots and now is getting quieter with each subsequent shot. Rocker 1 could make you up a moderator that would be "mouse fart quiet" if you so desired. I have Hatsan Edge guns and a Benjamin 1100 and this gun is not any louder than those guns. It is rated as #3 in the noise rating by PA. I have a 25cal Spring Piston Hatsan 85 Sniper with a large moderator on the end of the barrel. This gun is quieter than that gun is. I do not have the necessary equipment to accurately measure the decibel output of my guns and must go by what my ears pick up. Down range noise would be less than what I hear at the gun. This gun is made as a Field Grade Hunting Rifle. It will take abuse in the field without marring the stock and action. I believe this gun was offered with the field hunter in mind. It has a lot of what a backcountry hunter would want without a lot of unnecessary fancy options. This is not a good choice as a Show Gun but is a good choice for the hunter who hunts in Rough Back Country. The NP2 gas ram has plenty of power for shooting at the ranges that you feel you would be hunting at. My gun was accurate right with the First Shot. You can Smack this gunstock on a Rock with out worrying about damaging a Nice Hard Wood Stock. Rain and Snow will not damage the stock and cause it to swell and throw the accuracy off. Think of it as a Timex Watch, it will take a licking and keep on ticking. My gun is a straight up out of the box shooter that is not overly hold sensitive. It has a 7 pound carry weight, minus a scope. Add a rifle sling and it is shoulder able. Best Wishes - Tom Wood
John : The Hatsan 95 will preform very well too. The Hatsan 95 will come with a Really Nice Turkish Hardwood stock and open sights. The Hatsan guns I have are Striker/ Edge guns and have a different stock & trigger. My 85 Sniper has a the same trigger but it has a plastic stock and a spring piston.scp52 can fill you in on a Hatsan 95 Vortex Quiet Energy Rifle. From PA with the GATEWAY-PYRAMYD discount code it's about $189 and free delivery, he already has a better scope than the one it comes with and it leaves $161 in his wallet. " Best Wishes - Tom

" Best Wishes - TomI have 2 actually, an 87QE in .177 and the new to me 95 QE .22 I just got from MidwayUSA about a week and a half ago and there's a thread on it in the Turkish Gate titled "I think I got another members returned Hatty 95". Weather hasn't let me test the accuracy part yet, but I have managed to get some chrony time before the latest stretch of rain and windy days hit and mine with FTT's average 758 fps for 18.71 fpe so plenty for hunting small game. The QE moderators do make them quieter than the standard version Model 95 which I also have and although you don't notice it as much being your face is next to the gun when you shoot, that moderator does make it quieter downrange where it matters and it's quieter than the other 25 springers and gas rams I own except for that 87QE so I have more than a few rifles to compare it against...lol.All my Hatsans (and Hatsan built rifles) have been solid, accurate guns for the money and i don't regret buying any of them. Here's a pic of that new 95QE .22 in a better setting than the stock pictures you see on websites:
