FX Streamline Trigger Issue and Possible Solution

I received my slightly used FX Streamline in the mail, checked the pressure gauge and dry fired to hear the report on high and low power.  First two times, worked fine.  Third time, I cocked the gun and it wouldn't fire.  I checked the trigger and none of the settings seemed capable of preventing it from firing.  I had the rifle out of the stock and was looking at the three pins around the trigger group and  thought, "why not?"  The rifle was not loaded, but I made sure that the muzzle was aimed at a bench rest  bag, just in case.  I also put on safety glasses in case a spring came  flying out (been there, done that).  First, I partially pushed out the pin that passed through the trigger wheel.  The trigger base and trigger came out of the gun.  I expected it to fire, but it did not.  I then looked inside and saw that the sear was pushed hard against the side of the receiver.  I gently pocked around with a pin punch, but couldn't get the sear to release and the gun to fire.  I then started to push out the pin holding the sear and the gun fired.  I centered the sear, put everything back together and the gun has now worked fine for several hundred shots.  I wonder if vibration during shipping caused to sear to slip to the side.  Anyway, this might help someone if it happens with their gun.

I wonder if there is a way to keep the sear centered?  I've heard of people having issues with the trigger sears on the Streamlines.  Seems like I remember someone saying they needed to be smoothed/cleaned up a bit?

I've read that about needing to clean up the sear as well.  I have also thought about adding some sort of nylon washer on either side of the sear to keep it centered - they would have to be very small though.  If the sear binds up again, I will try the polish routine first.

Yeah, I was also thinking along the same lines of washers on either side of the sear.  You can get very thin teflon or mylar washers too that would probably work.  Either way, it seems like the solution should be pretty straight forward

Interesting.  I'd love to see some photos of your trigger and internals.  I have a FX Royale and have spent some time recently with the trigger.  I have noticed the room inside the receiver to the left/right of the sear and was wondering if that could be problematic.  (So far I have not experienced the issue you described.)
