The idea of a new pumper pistol sounded great so I added a .177 Strike Point to my order from SG. With the double member discount it was just over $30.
The good:
- Price
- Good looking, in my opinion.
The bad:
- The flat pump and backstrap are painful over 5 pumps.
- Trigger angle. Anyone with medium sized hands will need to apply pressure to the trigger to fit a finger between the trigger and guard.
- Trigger pull. Long, jerky and heavy. Any Nerf gun is surely better. A major improvement probably would be fairly easy.
- Accuracy.... may not the right word to use. What is the MOA for 10" at 10 yards?
- Sights. Simple strip of spring steel held by two tiny phillips head screws. Adjusted the rear all the way to the right and the closest hit of the shotgun pattern is still 4" left at 10 yards even with a brisk wind from the left.
- Barrel. The bore looks like an inside-out version of a round wood file. I've never seen anything like it. Almost like it was given both a right and left twist. The poor pellets don't know which way to turn!
Based on my sample of one it's a major disappointment.

I have one.. The pump handle is nice being big , but I smack my hand against the trigger guard.the trigger group is like a crosman , and the spring preload is huge.. I think it can be made much lighter with one snip
the impressive part is the massive swept Volume , the piston is huge and flat top , and the valve is flat top.. I haven't measured yet, but the piston appears to be close to 392 size.. the sites need help.. I was getting 500 even on 10 pumps , but I think that number could be vastly improved with opening the super small transfer port.. The valve is actually a ripoff from the npx daisy style pumper, the barrel is a crosman copy , and a few other parts are hijacked.this rifle has the same valve

The best picture I could get of the bore since the Lyman Borecam will not fit in a .177.

I noticed the bore too... just assumed it was dirty....
I share the hand hitting trigger hard, and my hand hitting the rear sight housing. Easily fixed, but didnt anybody use the thing before they shipped it?
And why ooh why didn’t they put a sight rail of some sort on the thing..... the top plastic piece—“the slide” \is the obviously location, but its rounded and getting a rail of some sort to stick is gonna be a challenge

HAve the gun tore down compeltely.... the barrel screws in--yes its threaded into the valve block assembly-- and checked the barrel again.... "chatter" marks between the lands..... Ran a cleaning petter down it, came out dirtier than youd think for a gun thats had less than 50 thru it..... ran a couple more, did get cleaner. Loaded a glop of rubbing compound between two felt pels and pushed that assembly back and forth a few time the length of the barrel.... did reduce the the marks a bit and shined up the bore. Then a couple pels thru and examined.... not much rifling engagement, had a couple pels look like spurios negagment and couple that got engraved really nicely.
Thinking that this gun would be served well with large daimeter heads and or thin skirted pelt that will blow out and engage when the air blast hits it.....

Please keep us up to date. Barrel screws in is interesting, so no tiny grub screw for me to break/lose?
Maybe fire lap it with big head diameters, clean, recheck?

I was just thinking, if the barrel just screws in, then the TP is in the breach block/trunion? If true, it might be a super simple gun to experiment with barrel lengths and maybe going to .20 cal?
Just thoughts.

Correct Horatio. TP is in the block, not the barrel.... SO yea I suppose if you ahd the tools to thread the barrel you could try a lot of stuff....

so far, a .050 -.100 washer on the front of the piston helps , and also an extended probe which is really hard to do since the bolt , and bolt handle are all one piece.. Hard to hold in the lathe.. Opening the Transfer port is a bad idea and complicated.. the barrel on these guns is actually threaded to the breech which is impressive.. I think its an m8 thread, haven't measured it .. Increasing hammer spring by simply replacing the flexy spring it came with also helps. So far, I'm not seeing it as an ideal tuners gun , but , ive got more to do

Gotta disagree with Rob on the "not a tuner's gun..."
ITs easy-peasy to tear down, all know crosman mods (except the TP and throat) will work on this gun. You can mkae it shoot and function much better than factory, but Rob's correct in the sense that you may never generate a lot of power with it....
It would be a perfect gun for a GTA sponsored MSP pistol build off......

I think the rifling needs to be addressed , and will be a long term limiting factor..

Called Umarexusa CS on the 11th. Sent an email with the bore pic on the 12th. Called them again on the 17th and was told that they would get back to me in a day. Still no reply.

I emailed them on 10/9 asking about a parts list or exploded diagram...
got this back next day:
Dan, at this time we don’t have a Parts Diagram. I’m not sure if this is a gun that will be considered repairable or not at this time, and that will determine if we receive a Parts Diagram for it.
ummmm oooooo-k...... SO no parts diagram, no spare parts and Umarex is possibly considering this gun to disposable......

Rob how big is the screw thru the piston? I looked at that and thought there isnt much meat down the center.....
HAve also thought of gluing something to the valve face to reduce headspace

This might not work.
What if you drilled through the top of the breach block to get to the transfer port? Then just tap the top hole for a grub screw to seal it.
Just a crazy idea without the gun in front of me.
