What is your favorite Inexpensive (fun) Pellet / BB Gun

 Favorite pellet fun gun is my Beeman P17, no CO2, no multiple pumps. One pump and shoot, nice sights (fiber optic) great trigger. Just a real enjoyment to shoot and plink. What a value at $30.00. Favorite fun BB gun has to be a Dasiy Model 25, from age 12 up to my current 65.

I have a P17 and I agree, it is a great, inexpensive pistol!

Although, I tried my brother-in-law's BuckMark break barrel pistol and I think it is the most fun of all! 😀

Easy to load, shoot and to mount a red dot.

With a $25 Ohuhu red dot (Amazon) we were hitting 5" metal targets outdoors at 25 yards.

Quality control can be frustrating. My first one wouldn't fire at all. Sent it back for a replacement. The 2nd one has worked perfectly. My old eyes need a red dot and it's not so easy to mount on the plastic dovetail.

I too had a Model 25-in 1958 Baltimore.
My gang and I carried those rifles everywhere we went.
The teachers at Fullerton Elementary lined the Model 25s behind their desks.
I had that same Model 25 throughout my military carrer (yes it went to Viet Nm, too) and through my civil service life as an air traffic controller.
In 2005, he shot his last shot.
I bought two of the "New" Model 25s.
One for me and one for my partner in Kansas.
I opened the box and took a look at the rifle and returned it immediately.
I never even fired it....
I searched and searched and finally found a Variant 7 Model 25.
With the exception of the comb on the stock it is exactly as my first one.

It occupies a special location in my den.

I lone the single pump pneumatic. I got an IZH46 years ago when they were cheap. It's the best for light plinking.it must have 10k shots with no maintenance after a bit over a decade.

Compared to a new quality Springer or pcp...I think it was about 200$ when j got it, about 10-11 years ago. I wish they were still like that. I might go darkside for a spa pistol, or a ssp from them. I suppose it's only a matter of time till they make one (ssp target pistol)

The P17 is hard to beat.
I mounted a NcStar 4x30 IR scope with Redfield rings. The rings have to be spread open with a screwdriver to get them over the rail but they are rock-solid. Still maintains a clear view of the open sights as well. No pinched hands for me. Pumping by grabbing the rear ring works very nice and it hasn't budged in hundreds of shots.

For a rifle, it has the be the QB77.

I would have to say my favorite for plinking is my Crosman Custom Shop 2400KT in .177 at under a $100. It is topped with a UTG Bug Buster (don't remember what I paid for it but about the same price as the gun). My go to plinking pellets are RWS Basic pellets. If I'm target shooting I'll go with JSB RS 7.33 grain pellets. It likes the JSB pellets better but the RWS pellets are cheaper.

I just jumped on the bandwagon for the P17.  Superb little shooter and very economical.  Mine has a red dot on it now.  Love it.

Another one is the Daisy 953.  Single stroke, multi- shot, compact, light weight and accurate.

There is a $20 BSA on Amazon that fits like it was made for it.

I enjoy my Daisy 25; it's a newer one, and like my Slavia 634, 2240, Hatsan 95QE, Benji 392, Optimus, 760 pumper, pair of B-3s, P17, and 1377, it was technically free- paid for using Amazon credit accrued by converting hotel points into gift cards. 

My favorite BB gun would be my Daisy 25, since it is my only BB gun.  For pellet pistols/rifles, pumper is the 1377, CO2 is the 2400KT, and springer is the Slavia.  All of them were $100 or less.

While I like the P17 for the trigger and accuracy, I think the plasticness and lack-of-leverage make it less user friendly, hence why I say the 1377.

P17. I have a pair of them and both are accurate with good triggers. Stoeger X3 rifle is also a good choice. A friend loaned me his model 25 Daisy. It's like crack for airgunners. Probably will find one in my Christmas stocking

Great size and weight, metal receiver, US made, accurate, variable power.


For bb's Daisy 1938B red Ryder - 25$
It's a red Ryder, what more do you need to know.
I chose it over the 17-22$ 105b because while I love tinkering with them, the red Ryder can be more comfortably used by adults out of the box.

I'll chime in with the Bear River BOA Co2 BB pistol. Huge shot count, quite accurate, very good, consistent velocity. I did a test review of this gun for Hard Air Magazine ( http://hardairmagazine.com/reviews/airgun-test-reviews/bear-river-boa-co2-bb-pistol-test-review/ ), and liked it so much that I went out and bought one for myself. For $25, it's a hoot!

For a fun BB gun the 499 is my choice. A great way to waste a couple hours in the basement on a cold winter night.
