You could use friction tape if you can find that!!I found it at Wal-Mart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/3M-Friction-Tape-0-75-in-x-240-in-1-roll/24949845?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227017651548&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40871789432&wl4=aud-273067695102:pla-78765143672&wl5=9025746&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla_multichannel&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=24949845&wl13=&veh=sem#read-more
I own a number of UTG/Leapers scopes and even more of their rings. I know they are considered low end but don't think I've ever had a complaint or shortcoming with any of them. I am curious about that tape they put inside the scope ring, presumably it is there to both ensure a good hold on the scope as well as prevent the metal-to-metal contact between ring and scope?I don't even remember - do other ring manufacturers do this? I need some to replace in an older set of rings. What can I use that is like it? Their website calls it "High Quality Synthetic Tape Applied on Ring's Internal Surface for Scope and Mount Protection"
