Assume you could have whatever scope, mounts and tune you want. Since it's your only airgun, it may as well be just-so.

For my part, I think I'd go with a .22 Diana 52, with a Hawke Sidewinder 30 10x42 scope and Diana drooper mount.

Zero with Polymags at 25 yards, and it would be a pesting MACHINE.

I wouldn't trade my HW97K .20 with the Nikko-Stirling Targetmaster 6-24X50 for anything.

There's too many to list. Someone will always find something that's not on the list.

I didn't put HW30s/R7 on the list because I think a lot of people would want something more powerful, if it were to be their only airgun.

The choice probably varies on any given day...I currently own two D34's (.177/.22) and they're everything they should be...just what do I want to accomplish *that* day.

I'd vote other. 

My one German gun of choice would be my HW55MM.  It has the ease of a break barrel and accuracy of a fixed barrel.  Medium size and power with a few tweaks.  Walnut stock and heavy barrel sleeve.  It can hunt, plink and even hang with the FT guns!

Absent that, an HW 50 is the closest thing.  You can muscle it up to 13.5 fpe in .22, or have the smoothest 11.5 ever in .177.
Backyard friendly too.  You can carry it all day and still take the 40 yard shot.  If I lived in the Boonies, might be a different answer.

I would need some help voting.

Which is the one that weighs about 7 pounds with a 30mm 6.5-20X42 Hawke AO scope, has beautiful workmanship, requires about 25 pounds of force to cock and pushes a JSB Jumbo Heavy .22 at around 875 fps, accuracy in the order of half an inch at 50 yards, and has no hold sensitivity at all. Which German springer am I thinking of?

Yes. I have talked with a tuner at PA and he said that it was developed for that gun. The sled built on the gun works for the shooter and the sled on the mount saves the scope. From all I have read (I have no hands on experience ) the RWS 54 Air King is a proven scope killer of even good scopes. The actual owners of this gun would Know more than I and have a more Informed Response based on Real Experience with this Gun. I DO have the Bullseye ZR Mount though, on My Benjamin Trail NP 1100XL and LIKE IT A LOT !  That gun broke 2 HIGH Quality Scopes of the original owner and a Hammers & CP scope that I put on it. I got the scopes exchanged under warranty. I had ordered the Bullseye mount from PA but was on a waiting list about 4 months before I received it. Once I put the Bullseye mount on ALL scope problems Ceased and Accuracy Improved.     Best Wishes - Tom Wood

JoeV..yes Walther Parrus, that is an intriguing gun. Might get to one with some luck. Never should have sold my LGV Challenger ultra 😦 what a mistake that was!
